Question
On what type of material / reels were TV Specials recorded in 1968 ?
Is there any diffrence to movies beside the aspect ratio ?
How about the restoration?

1968 TV specials would probably be on video tape if they were still around. During the 60s and early 70s many many shows and specials were erased and something else taped over them. This practice effected and really hurt popular series from BBC, Doctor Who being hit pretty hard by it. I have heard that here in the US the same type of practice was done around then, but I'm not sure or what was effected.
If the movie was made for TV then the aspect ratio would probably be that of TVshows, it would really depend on the studio/production company that made the film.
