Fraggle Rock: were two of the characters lesbians?

I never thought of it while I was young, but today when the DVD hit I was reminded of some eps. of my favorite cable series as a kid. I specifically remember the characters of Mokey and Red being two female fraggles living together who did not ever really seem to have a thing for other male fraggles.
I am only thinking this because Mokey is very much like the male friendly lesbian while Red is closer to the one who can be friendly, but stand-offish as well.

Just curious!

The only thing Mokey and Red munched on were Doozer structures.

This totally reminds me of:

Brian: You're, you're asking me if they've ever done a Sesame Street in which the Count kills somebody and then sucks their blood for sustenance?
Peter: Yeah.
Brian: No, they've never done that.
