According to the above news link, it's been confirmed that later this year, the first season of HBO's "Tales from the Crypt" will finally be preserved on DVD. According to the Crypt Keeper himself, John Kassir, Warner Brothers will put together the package and its extras.

You really only need to watch the first five minutes of each episode. After that, you know exactly how the story ends.
