Allison fears that her marriage is falling apart after consulting with her own psychic, though she went just to find out about Joe's biopsy prognosis (turns out to be benign). Joe is having to work late hours, further making Allison suspicious. Plus finding a card that fell out of Joe's pocket from a person with a gender-neutral name, Kelly, made Allison even more suspicious. After the DA doctors up the search warrant (making it seem that Allison got an anonymous tip), Joe is worried that Allison being exposed on the stand would introduce public ridicule to the family and be a hardship on the daughters.
Then I cackled like a hyena as Allison turned the tables on the lawyer defending a cop killer during his cross examination of Allison. Good stuff.
I think the acting on the show is better than the subplots, but pretty watchable stuff, especially since Allison has integrity and isn't afraid to put her foot down when she has to.

That courtroom scene was badass when she dropped a few bombshells on that prosecutor. I got a good laugh out of that one, too.

Yeah, what was with the "Australia" warning, except to surprise the viewers about the real "crisis."
The courtroom scene at the end was great. That defense attorney will show up in later episodes, I bet.
I love the interaction between Allison and Joe, better than average TV acting.

The sad thing about the series is some
of the poor writing & acting. Allison & the DA
on the park bench was painful to watch.
The delivery of his lines was just terrible.
Which was partly due to the poor writing.
I give this ep a C-

I like this show but this ep was not up to par.
I thought that Allison jumped to too many conclusions which was silly because she never really confronted Joe about it.
The courtroom scene at the end did help a bit though.

Australia was weird, but the acting was some of the best I have seen for a TV show.

I agree with everyone that the twist in the courtroom scene is very clever. I was wondering how Allison is going to get out of that jam after swearing to tell the truth on the Bible.

She got out of the jam by not lying. She convinced the sleezy defense attorney not to press his question by convincing him she would expose his dirty secrets if he did.

I really don't like Arquette and the husband on this show. I don't even believe that they like each other, let alone love each other. There is no chemistry between those two.
I loved Alison laying the smackdown on the defense attorney though. That was great. I know that they admit the inconsistencies of what Alison knows and what comes to her, but isn't it a bit weird that she receives all of this guy's dirty laundry at such an opportune time?

I wasn't sure about this show at first, but it's growing on me each week. I hope it sticks around long enough to at least complete a season.
