NO NO NO NO
Heller says
"You tortured my son for three hours and got nothing!"
and the other dude says
"You gave the order sir"
He does not say
"We tortured him for 2:50 and you approved of the final 10 minutes"
Or did they expect the kid to crack in 3 minutes.
I smell shenanagins

I understand the no-discussion-of-previews sanction, but unless you get super-active moderation, it's impossible to force everyone to adhere to the policy. So that means you need to take matters in your own hand, and perhaps just roll with the inadvertent spoilers, or just stop reading the "24" threads.

saw this on another site:
The Worst Place in the Fictional World to Work
...is CTU on the show 24. No one there actually works. They only scheme and spy on one another. It's encouraged, in fact. Management shifts happen sometimes twice a day. You can get promoted twice in one day, and then sent to jail in that same day. And get shot at. And bombed. Managers drop dead all the time, often killed by employees, but sometimes just by flesh-eating viruses, or nuclear detonations. And to top it off, their idea of working long hours is, well, more than 24 in a row.

Of course Tony was close, Jack keeps him in the trunk of his car. Jack called in the trunk open code and Tony jumped out! What better way to hide from the feds than to live in the trunk of a fed car.

I don't care how implausible, I jumped out of my chair when I saw Tony. That was a cool enterance.
Oh, and one rare victory in plausibility's futile war against "24" : Jack actually rode in a car for like 30 minutes. This guy makes it to Santa Barbara in less than ten. I was really kinda amazed that they kept him driving that long.
And as far as the drinking game : I downed three beers for three variations of "There isn't enough time!" tonight. Did I miss any?

I actually went and timed it--8 minutes from Jack calling until Tony's arrival. It was still a damn sweet entrance though.

As the producers of the show have stated again and again...they don't care how plausible the show is - as long as it is never boring. Does anyone really care how Tony got there so fast (it's possible it will be explained next week)...as one poster already mentioned, it's TONY F'ING ALMEIDA!
Best. Season. Yet. No question about it. Let's just hope they can keep it interesting throughout the end. And get your act together, Edgar. One of those remaining plants in my my home state!

I'm adding my name to the list of tools that screamed when Tony showed up. He must have worked out a sweet deal with the feds to be walking the streets (or hiding in the trunk) so soon. I was wondering why they made such a deal about the security place being in Burbank. Me thinks next week we'll learn that's where Tony's been hiding/living.

Awesome entrance by Tony, and who really cares how he got there so fast. Maybe he was grabbing a pizza arond the corner. I hope his wife does come back into the picture, she was pretty hot. And i love Edgar hes def. my favorite new character. I liked when he pushses that chick right out of that seat when she messed up.
And next weeks looks likes its gonna be a great episode.

Hi,
My second post here..
I hope I like it here
Anyway, I'm sorry but I've only seen the first 2 episodes of 24 so far (on Sky 1 as I'm in the UK), but what top ones they were (IMO).
Excellent, gripping stuff,
some scenes seemed scarily like recent world events - ffor example:
I guess its easy to see why some people might be offended by the bad guys in this season being Muslims/Turks, given the current world climate. But its interesting also that I didnt hear any one complain about the Mexican terrorists in Season 3...
Are the Araz family the real bad guys of this series then? The father is domineering and not very nice to his son is he? Does he hate his son's g/f just because she's an American or what?
There was a good scene between the Defence Secretary (?) Heller and his son though, when Heller says "America has enemies" he answers "Oh yeah, enemies who were our friends a year ago, then in another year it'll change again" *cough*Iraq*cough*
exposing how stupid that is.
I did like the Michael Moore reference though
Really looking forward to episode 3!

Spoiler:
Also, not to be too nitpicky, but the security place was located in Burbank, which is closer to LA than Bakersfield.
