While I agree with you [though I didn't mind at all..], they gotta do something to drive up the ratings. How else but to have a scantily clad hot chick in lingerie to get the 'lil pre-pubes all hot and bothered??

Wow.. Lana willing to put out.

As everyone has said, Martha speech felt really out of place. I guess the main reasoning was that she and Pa Kent had told him to stay away from Alicia at the beginning. Didn't understand why Alicia was so worried about boning Clark when she seemed willing the first time they met and she 'ported into his bedroom?

Third time now that Clark had a chance to get laid. Optimum word being HAD.

Not a great episode .. I also thought that Martha was a bit too cranky at the end, but I'm assuming it was more a result of the talk her and Jonathan had with Clark about even being with Alicia, not so much about the whole silly marraige thing. (don't they verify age in Vegas before they marry people??)

As for Lionel, I'm kinda digging this so far because it's not what we would be expecting. Lex would probably never accept an honest and decent Lionel, which could help to drive him towards the dark side as Lionel continues to 'save the world'.

And, not to be an ass, but the chick who plays Lois is a pretty bad actress
I couldn't disagree more. She's better than either of the actresses playing Chloe and Lana, and the only female on the show that isn't dead weight, except for Ma Kent. She brings spunk to the show and is a perfect Lois. Chloe and Lana, get lost.

I think the lady that plays Lois is on par with the other members of the cast but think she is just as big of dead weight as lana and chloe. The only ones that matter in the show is clark, the luthers, and ma kent. This show isn't like buffy or angel where the whole cast adds to the show.

I'd hardly call Lois's character deadweight in the show. If anything, she has had a far more proactive role in Clark's adventures than Lana and Chloe combined. Even Clark is taken aback by her aggressive approach.

I remember watching the show and wondering how Alicia knew about the effects of red kryptonite on Clark. After all, she only used regular kryptonite on him in season 3. I recall her giving some quick B.S. answer, but don't quite remember what it was.

I have no problem with Ma Kent's ripping on Clark...as others have said she was probably PO'ed that he didn't stay away from her in the first place...Anybody else think Alicia looks like the young Genie Francis (Laura from General Hospital)??

That's one of big faults of this show. They don't have a clue what to do with all the characters. They could have a great show if they cut off all the dead weight (anyone other than the Luthors, Clark, Ma & Pa Kent). As much as some of the female cast is good to look at, it gets tough to watch when the characters suck and/or are written poorly. Most of them should be nothing more than recurring guest stars.

I thought this was a craptacular episode. I was so bored, I had a hard time paying attention. I kept waiting for something of consequence to happen. The teen-sex PSA at the end just made me want to laugh.

I think this is one of those shows I wouldn't miss if it were cancelled. I'm considering dropping the Season Pass. I've been wanting to chew the fat on my TV watching lately.

I'd have to agree. This episode just could not hold my interest. The only thing I really liked about this episode was the reference to Jimmy at the Daily Planet. On a whole though, I would have to rate it as one of my least favorite episodes. It's going to be interesting to see how Lionel's character evolves... he was absolutely genius as a diabolical bastard.

As somebody stated earlier, I too was "disappointed" at how Martha talks to Clark at the end of the episode. I'm like he was on RED KRYPTONITE..... gosh, idiot! Clark was ripping it up in Metropolis on red kyrptonite earlier in the show's run and you didn't get all over his case then.
Agreed.

I was not able to see the show (VCR power got reset), but I am a big Smallville fan. I hate when they throw in the Nude/Sex sceens into the show, it makes me not be able to watch it with my kids. It really adds nothing to the show.

On the subject of Chloe mentioning Jimmy.. will this be another shift from the comic continuity? Jimmy Olsen (and Chloe didn't mention a last name, so we could be wrong ) is much younger than Clark and Lois .. If he's already a Daily Planet intern, wouldn't that make him older?

Thought I'd bump this. The 2 episodes with the #1 hottie on my current celeb "list" coming up . If you missed it the first time (or even if you didn't) time to rewatch it.
