Does Scorcese's wife have Parkinson's?
|
Is it me or does Scorsese seems on the brinks of tears ever since Di Caprio won?

Aviator was good, but i was rooting for Million Dollar.
|
I love Clint and it was great to see him win.....but I was actually pulling for Scorcese as well. Either of them will make me happy come Oscar time.
|
Sideways !

Is there any chance of a Patman-esque recap for those who missed it..?
|
Sorry, I was mainly watching regular programming, and had the GGs in a picture-in-picture, but only rewound when winners that I wanted to hear their speeches took place.

Well, I thought the Globes were pretty good with their choices.
The most pleasent surprises were came in the first ten minutes Clive and my Natalie.  I thought Thomas Haden Church or Morgan Freeman would have won instead of Owen, and I thought Cate Blanchett for sure had supporting actress or at least Virginia Madsen, but yay for Portman. I was so hoping for Charlie Kaufman to win best script, but oh well here's hoping for his chance come Oscar time. I was hoping also for Leo to win, and he did which was deservingly awarded. It was so great to see my favorite two films win both best picture awards; Sideways and The Aviator.:) |

I am watching this over fast forwarding when necessary and I just noticed when Nip/Tuck won Drama Series...hardly anyone clapped for it (if you have it recorded or tivoed or whatever check it out. I swear one or two people in the front (the movie people) were clapping - if that -.
WTF? I know, I know...the other shows nominated are spectacular, but Nip/Tuck was clever and kept people (including me) watching. Maybe the fact that Hollywood is Nip/Tucked had something to do with it? Hmmm... |

I would have picked it over the rest of the nominees but I didn't think it was the best drama this year. |

Yeah it was up against 24, Deadwood, Lost, and The Sopranos. 24 is gettin' old (pardon me 24 lovers), Deadwood was too long ago, Lost was too soon (even though DH won comedy), and The Sopranos have enough. I think it was cool that it won. SFU was my pick though...so take that with what you will... |
Wow - and Mariska Hargitay won for Best Actress. Maybe I should have watched this. One of these award shows finally got something right.

Someone had asked:
What the heck is up with that tattoo on the back of Jamie Foxx's head??? Answer: Foxx was recently on "Inside the Actor's Studio" with James Lipton. In the interview, Foxx tells Lipton that they are filing a movie very soon, and the tattoo is part of the part he is going to play. He said something to the effect of Jamie Foxx: You can have this tattoo wanna know why? James Lipton: Why is that? Jamie Foxx: Because its fake. |
Holy shit! Acess Hollywood is letting Puffy's butler critique fashion and he selected Evangeline Lilly as number 3 or the top 5....MAN, did she look GOOD :drool::drool:
http://cache.gettyimages.com/comp/52...1B2AC3A62513D3 Ok...where was I...oh yeah...Teri [looking fine as hell too] and the rest of the housewives were on and apparently Felicity had a bet with her husband [William Macy] that if she won, he'd be on their show. :( |

I thought for sure that MDB was gonna win. They even put the camera on the MDB table after the announcement and the show was ending. All you could see was looks of shock on their faces. I mean to me, MDB was a 3.5 or 4 star movie. While The Aviator was a visually appealing movie, it just didn't draw me in like MDB did. |
what did Jamie Foxx say?
|
Sounds like I missed some interesting stuff when I went to bed. I PVR'ed it, so I will watch it after work today. I really wanna see what Zach Braff did.
I'm thrilled that Closer got a couple of awards, and glad that Jason Bateman got something. Some others I was not so happy with. |
My biggest question was why Ray was up for categories in the Best Comedy/Musical categories. It should have been in Drama.

Okay, here we go folks...it's time to give out my own awards (feel free to add your own!):
Best Dressed: Charlize Theron - dying her hair black and wearing a stunning dark-blue dress Best Speech: Jamie Foxx - save room on your mantle for an Oscar, because you're going to get one. Worse Speech: Anyone who pulled out notes. Sorry, Jason Bateman. Good Acting/Bad Acting: Annette Bening - How can someone who gave such a good performance on film come off as so phony accepting the award for it on stage? Mmmm...Them Ribs Is Tasty Award: Liam Neeson - For spending half the evening with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth. Best Line of the Night: Mick Jagger - For thanking those who worked at Paramount and those who used to work at Paramount. Most Deserving Winner of the Night: - Ian McShane for his great performance on HBO's Deadwood Least Deserving Winner of the Night: - Nip/Tuck...one can only guess 24, Deadwood, Lost and The Sopranos split the voting. |

Great show last night. I was really happy and surprised to see Clive Owen and Natile Portman win. Teri Hatcher looked great last night and was so happy that she won. Great speech as well. I have to say Jason Bateman had the worst speech. All he did was read off names from a piece of paper. Come on, you are an actor and say something from the heart.
