Finished watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Just finished the final season. I guess I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed Seasons 6 and especially 7, which for the most part I thought was on par with some of the best of the other seasons. Captain Mal makes a terrific villan (can't wait for Serenity to come out!), and I liked the concept of The First as well. A lot different than the other big bads.
Now I just have to wait for the final season of Angel to come out on DVD.
And damn Fox for cancelling Firefly!

whoa, holy missreading there, batam. I suppose I got lara's message mixed.
anyhow. fox cancels a lot of things. Just be glad Firefly is getting film treatment by Universal. Who knows where that leads to.

Season 6 continues to be my favorite, with season 5 a close second. "Once More, With Feeling" pushes S6 in front for me. S7 had some good moments but was a bit unsatisfying, but I think we tend to put unrealistic expectations on final seasons of favorite shows, especially when it's known by all ahead of time it will be the final season.
I can barely stand the first three seasons. Juvenile high school settings and storylines don't do it for me.

I must be in the minority in thinking the cancellation of Angel was a good thing. The "mini-arc" format that the WB forced on the show in exchange for the fifth season renewal never really worked for me.
I agree that the show seemed to have a lot of creative juice left in it, but the WB was determined to destroy that. So, I'm glad they canceled it rather than continuing to force Wheaton and co. to make the show the way the network wanted it.
