I wrote him off a few years ago when I found out that he had become an ardent Scientologist.
Yeah, Scientologists never get the good roles. I mean Tom Cruise becomes a scientologist and BAM! his movies after that make just a few billions for the studios. They're bad luck I tell ya.

The show should have ended this season. A great ending to the show would have been Red and Kitty got all the kids - Eric, Laurie, Hyde and Fez - moved out of their house. Red and Kitty could spend some alone time together FINALLY.

A great ending would be them ringing in the 80's on the final episode, which would take place on New Years Eve.

I'm guessing the "success" being mentioned here strictly refers to quantity and not quality. Because let's be honest here... Topher's movie In Good Company is better than all of Ashton's movies combined.

Scientology is a criminal organization as much as a religion. That might not be unique to them--in fact, I don't think it is--but it is readily apparent for the looking. Anyone who buys into their bullshit is by definition brain-dead.

That's what I was thinking. Hasn't it been '79 for the last three seasons now?

They are starting to reference things in the '80s - a few episodes ago, the group Air Supply was mentioned and Kitty mentioned Jane Fonda's Workout.

If they hadn't made that awful That 80s Show, they could've used that title to make a spinoff. Shut down That 70s Show and move Fez, Donna, Hyde and Jackie to Milwaukee or Chicago or some other city. Add in a few newbies to round it out.

they could probably still do it if they wanted to. I think most people have forgotten about that show by now, plus if they saw 70's cast members I'm sure most would tune in, for a few anyway.

The only potential positive is that I heard that Eliza Dushku will likely guest star (I assume playing that same character she played in the one ep this season) in a number of episodes next season.

No, I'd say it's more financial than artistic.

Is it just me, but I think Donna looked better in the earlier seasons

This is just an insanely brain dead idea. FOX's head is so far up its a** that it just isn't even funny anymore. They cancel The Tick, they cancel Futurama, they cancel Firefly and then they drag this show out so far past its freshness date that they practically ruin everything that's come before a la X-Files. How these monkeys are able to keep the network afloat at all is beyond my capacity to understand.

Being blonde helped some, but in the end she is still a non-looker.
