Who is your favorite OZ prisoner?
ok, maybe a silly poll, but I am anxiously awaiting the release of Oz Season 4 on dvd later this month.....
I have been watching this amazing show for the first time on dvd (so no spoilers in the discussion please!) and only getting a season per year has been painful, but well worth it!
pity i can only have 10 options....
please post with an explanation of your vote if you feel so inclined!

while I think Said, O'Reily, and Keller are the three most interesting prisoners ....
I voted for Keller in the end since season 3 was the last season I saw and he was the most interesting character for me in that season....

Beecher is right up there too. He's not as interesting a character, but he's had the best story, watching him transform in the prison system. You don't really feel a need to know more about him like you do with Adebisi, O'Reily or Keller. My favorite actor of the bunch is definitely the guy who plays Adebisi.

While I love Tobias Beecher, Christopher Keller and O'Reily and Schillinger and Adebisi are 2 of the greatest villans ever on tv, my favorite as in I want to see him healthy every week is Augustus Hill.
I got HBO last year and caught the last season, HBO then started the entire series over and I have been watching every Tuesday and Thursday night since. There are just 5 episodes left in season 4, and I hate knowing the end is too soon. I guess I will have to go get the dvds when it is over.
BTW I like Chris Keller a million times better than Elliott Stabler.

Didn't like Said at first, but he became my favorite character towards the end.

After a massive amount of thinking, I had to opt for Schillinger - I'm actually surprised at how many agree with me. I thought I might be the only one. He's the type of character you love to hate, and every show needs a fantastic villian.
Close contenders were Ryan O Reily because he's such a master manipulator, and Keller, simply for being so evil, especially toward poor Beecher. They all provide great viewing - which of course is the most important thing.
I'm now looking forward to season four, and hoping the custom man doesn't charge me for receiving it!

Probably Saiid; although he was militantly racist at first, he went on to become arguably the most decent of the inmates. Beecher was a goody two-shoes from day one.
Adebisi was also a great character (and astoundingly acted), intelligent and with the capacity to be charming, but almost always predatory.
Keller kicked ass the most. Even though he wasn't one of the absolute bulkiest prisoners, he swaggered around projecting confidence and a "you don't wanna mess with me" aura.
The poet, the narrator, and that older, light-skinned, bearded black guy (can't recall his name) who became something of a leader, were also good characters.
Most disliked: The scumfuck Vern; laughed my ass off when Beecher shat on his face. Both O'Reillys; Ryan because he was off-puttingly devious and selfish (I especially don't like what he did to the pretty doc), and Cecil because his retarded baby-talk was irritating.
The two old white guys were essentially harmless and good, but overly sentimental.
Of the staff, I most liked Sister so-and-so. Completely the wrong environment for a kind, gentle person like her. Wonderfully played by Rita Moreno.

Said or Beecher myself. A collegue of my wife's said that she couldn't watch Law and Order again and view 'that nice psychatrist' in the same way again.
(She'd only seen season one, but Schillinger did that good a job it was obviously lasting).

It would be interesting to hear how many seasons people have watched when they are voting for their favorite prisoner. Having watched the whole thing, I'd have to say Said, but if I was to vote after only seeing the first 3 seasons, I'd probably vote differently.
Slight spoiler for late seasons:

I agree with your spoiler. I caught the last season on HBO, then they started airing it from the beginning, I am half way through season 4. This show is so well written, and even though I know the outcome of the series and a majority of characters, I can not wait for the Tuesday/Thursday airings. The character transformations are incredible, even the vilest of creatures on this show seem to have gone through major transformations, even if only temporary.
First 3 seasons is definately Beecher, with Hill a close second.
Season 4 on the nod goes to O'Reily and Said.
