I specifically asked for him to be put on suicide watch. Apparently here at Riker's that mean that they watch you commit suicide.
New Hampshire. I spent a year there one weekend.
You know, if I didn't already know you don't have kids, I'd know you don't have kids.
Even though you are a taxpayer, you know, we don't actually work for you personally.
I told you, you should have gone to bed with her. You're getting the grief without getting the gravy.
Divorce lawyers... God's way of telling you to stay single.
You've heard of the Seven Rings of Saturn? These are the Two Rings of Riker's.
You can't be as dumb as your haircut.
I don't know if you get a gold star for loyalty in your country, but over here, all you get is a set of striped pajamas and the word 'schmoe' stamped on your forehead.
Just too many Briscoe one-liners from over a decade on Law & Order.

How incredibly sad.
Jerry Orbach was a fantastic actor, both in person and as a voice for animation, not to mention all of the movies and tv shows he was so fantastic in. He will be missed terribly, and my heart goes out to his friends and family.

What a shitty fucking way to end a shitty fucking year.
I guess "God" or whomever is trying to end it with a bang...
RIP Jerry.

The death of actor Jerry Orbach will not affect plans for the latest "Law & Order" spinoff, "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," the producers said yesterday.
Orbach, who played Detective Lennie Briscoe on "Law & Order" for more than a decade, succumbed to prostate cancer on Tuesday. He had left the original series last spring and was to reprise his popular role on the latest, fourth edition of the NBC drama franchise, which was scheduled to debut early next year.
"While Jerry is irreplaceable, 'Law & Order: Trial by Jury' is an ensemble and will continue in production," the producers said in a statement. "A new cast member will join the company, announcements will be forthcoming."
"Trial by Jury" focuses, as its name suggests, on the courtroom. Briscoe, retired as an active street cop, is working as an investigator for an assistant district attorney, played by Bebe Neuwirth. Orbach appears in three of the six episodes shot so far, an NBC rep told The TV Column.
The network ordered 13 episodes of "Trial by Jury" for this season but has not announced a start date or a time slot.
Orbach's death is a big blow to the "Law & Order" franchise, which was already having a difficult season.
After 14 years of remarkable ratings resiliency, the original series fumbled 20 percent of its audience this season compared with last, including 26 percent of its viewers in the 18-to-49 age bracket NBC targets.
Offshoot "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" is down 14 percent among viewers of all ages and 15 percent in the 18-49 demographic group, compared with last season.
Both series this year face very strong freshman competition.
On Wednesdays at 10 p.m., "Law & Order" battles CBS's "CSI: NY," which is the third most watched new series of the season. (Last season, "Law & Order" competed in its time slot with ABC's "Karen Sisco" and CBS's "Brotherhood of Poland, N.H." -- both quickly canceled.)
"Law & Order" is averaging about 13 million viewers this season, while "CSI: NY" averages more than 15 million.
And on Sundays, "Criminal Intent" is broadcast at the same time as ABC's surprise hit "Desperate Housewives," which is the second most watched series of the 2004-05 television season, behind only CBS's Thursday edition of "CSI." Among younger viewers, "Desperate Housewives" is ranked No. 1 this season. (Last season, ABC ran "Alias" in that 9 p.m. time slot.)
"Criminal Intent" is logging an average of nearly 12 million viewers this season to date; "Desperate Housewives" hovers around 23 million viewers -- nearly double the audience.
Only "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" has not suffered a ratings decline this season. "SVU" is up 8 percent over last year among viewers overall, for an average of 13.5 million viewers, and is up 13 percent in the prized demographic group.
But "SVU" is the only "Law & Order" that is not pitted against strong competition. On Tuesdays at 10 p.m., "SVU" runs against CBS's aging "Judging Amy" and the final season of ABC's declining "NYPD Blue."

Man... this just sucks seeing that he was the best part of L&O.
I wonder if they are going to do anything in the show (aside from slide they showed last night). Like a funeral service (for Lenny) and bring in some of the old characters

Part of me hopes that they'll can the work he did in the three episodes of the new L&O [save 'em for a DVD extra] and let Lenny retire into the sunset..
