I'll give Emilio credit for jumping on Jay and telling him to apologize to Cerri. |
Re: Project Runway 7 January 14
Fantastic Result.
Seth Aaron's clothes were edgy and consistent all season long. And he seems like an awesome guy to boot. Whereas like you all have said Emilio has an ego the size of something far too big.. He wasn't a gracious loser. he's far too cocky. He looked convinced he had won when they told Mila she was out! Congrats SA |
Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Seems like the last season just ended

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Another one already? This show used to be special b/c we had to wait for the next cycle. Having just watched those two seasons back to back I'm not sure I'm ready for another one. I would have preferred September or October.

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Just a bump/reminder that it's on tomorrow night.
|
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
It's on for 90 minutes and there's no Models of the Runway. Maybe they are going to incorporate MOTR into the 90 minute time block.
|
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I hope they show more during the design creation process and less of the drama.

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Solid first episode but thought Casanova and Jason's "designs" were much worse than McKell's skirt.....but since they seem to have more personality, they stay.
|
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I know that it was just the first challenge and a 5 hour challenge at that, but I was very unimpressed. We'll see how they shape up. Nicolas seems like a good guy. Hopefully he can get over his nerves.

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Agree. that Jason and Casanova should have been gone, especially Jason.
I also think my local guy seems pretty hot for a guy like, Christopher Collins. |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I have hated the last 2 seasons, but I am holding out hope for this one - it's finally back in HD! :)
I definitely think the show looks better and is oddly more interesting to me in HD. I can't believe McKell went home - the designs they showed of her other work looked really cute and she seemed really likable. Kind of reminded me of that girl that won Shear Genius this year. There were much, much uglier clothes that should have went home. But they sent McKell home because of the handbag? And that winner dress that they raved about was plain and ugly to me. Maybe I don't know enough about fashion, but the judges taste on this show is often questionable. |

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I thought it was funny how they had a big deal about the "twist" that they were still auditioning to be on Project Runway. Um..... you are on Project Runway! You are just going to be the first one eliminated out of 17, not 16.
|
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I think Andy's designs should have won this week.
Jadzia! LOL! That "twist"! How daring! |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Yes indeed - Glad to have it back in HD - Watching it in SD was horrible!
Andy did a lot of work, but I already dislike him, and I think I dislike Mondo more! |

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Mondo redeemed himself a little this week, although the tiny tears for him being alone were odd.
Thankfully Clockwork Orange dude is gonzo. And what a meltdown from the other guy kicked off, I'm pleased he's also gone as his 80's highlighted hair annoyed me! My Christopher pick is nicely in the middle. I'm also liking Valerie so far.. the 3 winning designs were quite good, and the photo's made them. Gretchen winning 2 out the gate is impressive. |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I really wanted Valerie's cool red dress to win this week.
Clockwork Orange dude's fashions were sloppy and unfinished. I did find him very attractive (wouldn't you know I would think the straight guy is the best looking.) I also loved Mondo's fashion. He needs to come out of his shell to connect with other people. He reminds me of a very shy friend of mine who expects others to make the first move towards a friendship. Congrats to Gretchen for two wins in a row. BDB: I love your comment about dude's 1980s hair!!! |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Valerie's red dress was perfect in every way, and the print ad was beautiful and eye catching.
Gretchen may have one two in a row, but I found both designs on the boring side, no color, no pizazz. |

I also agree on both counts. I'm not sad to see Oddjob Jason get the boot, but I was surprised that they did a double elimination this early in the season. |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I think it's b/c they were planning on doing two eliminations last week, but gave those two contestants another week to impress them. They both failed so they both went home.
I agree with others that Valerie's dress should have won. However, I have to admit that in her case I'm distracted by that thing on her arm. Haven't really been a fan of either or Gretchen's winning designs, but, honestly, what do I know. |
Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
I think it's amazing how well almost all the photo's looked. Professional photo's are amazing, well except for you know. idiot boy's safety dance.

Re: Project Runway Season 8 - July 29
Gretchen needs to have her hippie ass sent to the bottom for humbling purposes. She makes Emilio from last season appear to be modest by comparison.
