Yeah, I been watching off and on this season and been hesitating to post because dammit, I love Kenley and want her to win... And I usually hate the nasally thing but just find it so cute on her. My wife is the opposite and yells at me when I cheer for her.

Agreed! Both created very cool designs. I liked Kenley's apartment. We have similar tastes. My dislike for her has eased up. :)

I agree, I think it's Leanne's to lose. Which is shocking to me since she was so bad/boring for the first half of the shows.

It's not PC to say but I think they took Korta or however you spell her name, because it's just such a better story with her being a single mom, from her up bringing etc. - I think Jarrell was much better on most challenges.

Um Korto is not nor has she ever been a single mom. :hscratch: She got married and many years later they had a daughter.

As for the 2, I suspect they kept her because she's a better designer than Jerrell overall.

I'm happy they got rid of Jerrell. There were a lot of outfits that the judges praised that I really didn't care for. It sucks, though, that he wins the "last" challenge and now he is the one not showing his collection in competition.

I have heard her mention her husband numerous times. And you obviously did not watch this last episode, did you? She mentioned the color of the wedding dress she wore, talked about how she got married 9 years ago and had a kid 4 years ago, hell she even introduced Tim to her husband!!!

The reason this outcome irks me so much is because I can think of at least 3 prior episodes where Kenley has made the worst looking outfit (the signs challenge, the genre challenge where her outfit did not represent hip-hop in anyway and the last challenge with that Ursula from The Little Mermaid, flower-inspired dress that looked like it had scales). Her style has been derivative and one-note, so just because her dresses last night were really great, why was she there in the first place!

Not to mention Kenley had the worst reaction to criticism in the history of the show. She wouldn't even Michael Kors was trying to talk to her, she interrupted him when in the end he was trying to give her a compliment. Not to mention how she's treated Tim. That's not the kind of attitude any designer can afford to have.

I'm not defending Kenley's attitude toward the judges, but I think every season there is at least one person who probably doesn't deserve to be there. In fact, I would even say that at least one time that person went on to win the whole thing.

Ever since she was in the bottom 2 in the model challenge Leanne has been the most consistent. Plus, I think it's funny to watch a girl who seems so mousy talking trash.

And who might that be?

I don't know, this seems to be the most obvious simply because there was more than one challenge she should have gotten the boot...in a row even.

I think one reason Kenley is still there is that she seems to have the most defined sense of her own style. She definitely doesn't have the adaptability or breadth of looks that some of the others do, and of course that's why her hip hop outfit was absurd, but more than anyone her clothes stand out as her clothes. And within that sense of style, she is very very good.

With anyone else they would have called it, "one note".

I don't think you could say she's one note. Her wedding dress and bridesmaid dress didn't look like 40's pin up girl dresses, but they clearly looked like her dresses.

Santino as another guy who didn't deserve to be in the finals and was completely disrespectful toward the judges the whole way through, probably even worse than Kenley.

So Jerrell wins the challenge that would have gotten him to Bryant Park but instead they have all 4 designers do collections and then vote Jerrell off? Wow, that is harsh.

Like how they didnt show Tim meeting any of Kenley's family and friends? Wonder why that was?

I loved those two looks, but prior to that I found her work derivative...which is why I don't think she even should have had a chance to get that far in the first place. She was stuck in pin-up land and when she didn't the stuff was bad.

Oh, I hated Jeffrey (tattoo on the neck guys)...I mean with the intensity of a thousand suns, but he was a great designer and deserved the win. Laura's runway was "one note", I love her but it's true and Michael Knight's was a hot mess!

^^ I remember Jeffrey having enough missteps in the competition that I wasn't so sure he even deserved to be in the finals. Wow, couldn't remember who he was up against in the finals until you mentioned it. Eh, I would have still given it to Laura that season.

I agree that Jeffrey was a great designer and deserved that win.

The "nobody getting voted off" may very well have been planned all along (probably was, IMO); even if it seemed harsh to Jerrell, it may not have been (other than psychologically).

As for Kenley and Tim, my guess is that each contestant decides what they want. Tim barely met Leanne's bf, he was out the door as soon as Tim arrived.

thanks for the link, I wondered about the "copycat" dresses. I have no idea if she really copied or not, they certainly seemed to think that she didn't (but as was pointed out last night, even if she didn't, others still see the copycat).
