i think the biggest reason trump picked him is that he had a history of managing projects unlike Jen who was mostly just making sure the paperwork was good in a financial transaction and advising her client.

I think Kelly was the right choice based on overall perfromance throughout the season.

I thought the extent that they went to to humiliate Jen was too much and would have been much more deserved by Omarosa last time. Now that would have been fun.

But I must disagree with you about Kelly, I didn't think he was boring....wait that was Kelly in my dream last night. That's an entirely different thread.

Everything about last night's finale was just weird, that COO clamming up. I mean he couldn't even get out an "I think Kelly is just better." He needs to be fired.

I don't get what was so great about her "performance". In essence, she said the speech she's been practicing for the last few months, character assasinated Kelly, and in general just took up a lot of empty air time. Kelly just didn't interrupt her, and let her have her say, which should be the normal course of things. Of course after that, Trump barely gave him time to speak. When Trump said "this is bad", Kelly had gotten about two sentences in, basically he was punished for not being a dick and shouting over her.

I felt bad for Jen during the show. Then I remembered that she is gonna end up making no less than six figures for the rest of her life and figured I should turn in and go to sleep. There are no real "losers" on this show.

I like the show, but I really hope they up the ante on the challenges next go round. Some of the shit they did this year was below 16 year olds. Washing dogs? Selling candybars? Ice cream? C'mon now.

I cracked up during the boardroom when Jen was trying to say metaphor and she pronounced it "metamaphor".

The finale was down 43 percent among adults 18-49 from the 13.6 rating done by the first season finale last May. The first season finale, crowning Bill Rancic, attracted 28 million viewers for a hefty 39 percent fall.

The finale saw only a slight improvement over the show's seasonal average of 15.3 million viewers and failed to left NBC over rerun fueled CBS for the overall ratings and viewership crown for the night. Last season, "The Apprentice" averaged 20.7 million viewers per week in its spring run...

Agree 100%. I'm surprised so many people here didn't like Kelly. I thought he was the only consistent "contestant" this whole season. Jen was terrible. She knew how to argue in the boardroom, but she generally was terrible on the jobs.

No, she was talking about the toy car in the first episode. The name of it was the "Metamorphor" or something like that.

She did a fantastic job filling out the Levis. I give her credit for that.

I wonder how the quarte-hour ratings went. I nearly dozed off and seriously contemplated surfing when they kept polling Trump's golfing buddies.

And I was very suprised that NOBODY pointed out that in the Levi's task, Jen was obtuse to the point of clueless about the stupid wheel, yet unabashedly took almost complete credit for it at the presentation. That was horribly dishonest, even for a lawyer. I understand them not mentioning it right after the task; in real time maybe The Donald didn't know, but now he's seen the show and that move was really unethical and perhaps gave us a glimpse of how Jen has been able to acheive so much (like her "risky" move across the country to work for the largest law firm in the USA. I'm still a little fuzzy about what the risk was, did she travel by covered wagon?). Anyone who watched the season would know what an underwhelming performer she was. And pointing out how she was the president of her sorority? That's pretty sad. Did she really think that was going to put her over the top? [Donald] Chi Omega? Oh my God, they're so cool! Having said all that though, I agree with John comment that she was being "thrown under a bus". It wasn't fair, was completely unnecessary and I felt bad for her as a result.

Yep, completely agree. Also about her "speech" at the end. Any good lawyer is a good speech-giver, so I wasn't impressed.

PLUS...Jen has NO IDEA how to read Trump...she kept pumping her Harvard/Yale background going against a West Point and Ranger school grad.

Umm...Jen, Trump went to military boarding school and creamed his pants all season when talking about Kellys background.
