I've been invited to a television preview...

I don't know if I'll go or not. Leaning towards not, but then, I have nothing else to do that night.
Looks like they show two shows, and we say if we like them or not, and we might win some prize or something... I'm curious what shows they'll be... Canadian television (and I half to assume that's what this'd be) is very hit and miss. While US television is also probably mostly bad, IMHO, the bad stuff tends to be at least half watchable.

You'll have to go and tell us if they're still scamming the same two shows -- Soulmates and City -- or if they finally have something new. Also, be sure to give them your home phone number, because they most certainly will not call and harass you about the "TV material". Have fun!

I got "Blind Men" about window blinds salesmen, and some show with that Valerie chick that they killed to make "The Hogans". The ads were what they really asked us about.

they will probably feed you if you go and kick you $20 or so.. that is usually what they do with consumer test groups

I went to one of these down in West Palm Beach, Florida where they indeed showed "Soulmates" (which was excruciating) and "City" (which was decent, but looked like it was made over 10 years ago so I can't imagine they are still considering making this show). Like they said above, mostly they are asking you questions about advertising inbetween the shows. If its anything like this, I strongly recommend not going. Not to mention when I went, they had all our seats crammed next to each other. Coincidentally, the friend I went with saw his recently ex-girlfriend there, so it added an extra layer of awkwardness. There was no food either.

I went a year ago and saw Soulmates and City. Are they really still showing those two shows? Anyway, don't waste your time. Sit at home and watch something good instead.

Wow backed when I worked at Best Buy in 2000 I had tickets and they were showing City and Soulmates. That is unreal. Yeah, it did seem like they cared more about the terrible advertising.

It's not impossible to go without food for two hours! that doesn't concern me.
Yeah, this is what I figured it would be, but someone wants to go, and I might end up going with them because of this. Ugh, we'll see. Certainly sounds like they just use the TV thing as a cover to ask about advertising.
How come so many people here have been? same company? Now I'm curious if they are showing the same thing. I know I got invitations last year too.

I just had a tape sent to my house to watch a sitcom pilot. What a pile a steaming shit that was. I can't wait to tell them tomorrow. I may even ask for that half hour of my life back. You will all thank me if you never see this atrocity
Strangely, they said if I rewinded the tape it would erase. I just might do that to spare the next person
