well they are wrong about people not missing mrs crabtree, she has always been one of my favorites cause she is perpetually hostile. it was funny that the bird in her hair was dead too though.

But I am rewatching it and there is another reference (maybe?): the reference to cutting out the eyes. Where the killer in SP cut out the eyes of women in photos while the killer in Manhunter puts the glass in the eyes of the victim.
Also the name Dod rings a bell to me, but I can't remember from where. DOD? I seem to remember hearing that in either Manhunter or Red Dragon.
