Great episode last night. GOB's failed magic trick had me in tears.

Cusm 12-06-04 09:15 AM

Some one mentioned it, but missed the best part of the gag - How the hell did they get the Aztec Tomb into the attic?

I loved Lucille yanking on Oscar's hair when it is announced George Sr is dead.

"Gary is gay? He may think I was coming on to him"

tofu 12-06-04 10:50 AM

Great episode. Loved the peanuts stuff. It's all the little things that combine to make a big laugh.

Morf 12-06-04 11:03 AM

I loved the flashbacks showing Buster trying to get revenge on the maid.

"Buster attempts to damage her car with what he believes to be her favorite toy"

and you see Buster throw the dustbuster at the city bus.

That, and when Buster is imitating Gob when he is doing his "Final Countdown" dance during the unveiling of the casket. Any scene with Buster just cracks me up.

"Oh I can't believe it! And I just found the will!"

I love how the line is delivered with barry off camera.

Here are a few of the most funny visual moments from the show:

Big Boy Laroux 12-06-04 12:27 PM

absolutely hilarious. loved the peanuts references, but I also don't know what P 2332 is...

I thought that when George Michael was walking on the dirt near the house (when he found george sr.), he would fall and be covered in dirt... with a dirt trail behind him, a la pig pen. but that probably would have been a little more obvious than the stuff they were going for...

buster's outfit... unbelieveable...

maxpower 12-06-04 12:40 PM

I kinda thought those numbers looked a bit weird...as if they were mirrored and upside down...

I'm am so glad that I found this show (due to both the huge praise on this board and one of my friends telling me I should check it out).

This show is, hands down, the most consistantly funny show on television.

Lindsay wore that slut shirt to prison in season1 right?

Totally didn't pick up on the spiderhole thing until I saw it posted here, but did see the GWB punching bag in the card store

Yup, that's her SLUT shirt from the first season.

The spiderhole thing was taken even further when George Michael was checking out George Sr's teeth (ala Saddams medical exam)

Yes she wore it to prison hoping that the prisoners would notice her (they didn't)

I was also slow to pick up on the spider-hole thing until George-Michael starting examining Pop-pop's teeth.

Damfino 12-06-04 01:09 PM

D'oh! Draven got in first!

Actually wasn't it a case of George Sr. paying the prisoners off to not react to her, not a case of them not noticing her?

Just to point out the brilliance of the show - all the inmates were paid heavily by George Bluth not to outwardly notice Lindsey, a continuing joke of putting Lindsey in a situation where it seems to her tht men don't find her attractive.

maxpower 12-06-04 01:50 PM

Did something drop out of Gob's pants when he tore them away while showing buster the coffin illusion?

Brent L 12-06-04 01:55 PM

No, but I was hoping for a bunch of pennies to fall when he did that. :)

blahloney 12-06-04 02:15 PM

translate the Newspaper

I love this show.

Would somebody translate the newspaper headline and article regarding Lucille's "Homeless man" mouth to mouth article...
I took high-school spanish but... it's high-school spanish so....

Thanks..

I also liked the continuation of the Anne joke from the epsiode when they go to Mexico.

In Mexico-

Gob: That's his girlfriend? What, is she funny or something?

Last night's episode (paraphrased)-

Pop Pop: That's your girlfriend? <grimmaces>
George Michael: Yeah, she's really funny.

Small stuff like that is why this is easily my favorite show on TV.

It sure does look like something drops as his pants hit the floor.

edit.
Upon closer inspection ..it appears to be the rear of the pants...it just looks odd as it falls down..as if heavier.

Deftones 12-06-04 02:46 PM

I watched this in HD last night for the first time. Jesus, the girl who plays Maebe has a ton of freckles. And Portia de Rossi looked horrendous last night. I know part of it was for the show as she was crying throughout the episode, but even then she looked gross. I used to think she was hot. Thanks alot HD. :(

I believe what makes it look like something else falls, is all of the buttons on the pants, etc... that were holding them on.

"The girl whose face will always be etched in my mind"
"Her?"
"She's really funny"
"Well let's hope so"

Funny shit.
