It's still doing much better then Tru Calling did in that slot last year, granted Friends isn't around anymore but it's still a big improvement.

Marissa sucks because I always thought that the show would be better if Ryan got to play the field a little...Seth is the puppydog crush character, so Ryan is needed to introduce a new hot young acterss every few episodes.

I realized something last night watching the episode. The OC has jumped the shark, mind you it has not resorted to 'cheap' guest stars. But it has definitely lost something from last year.
I base this on The Baitshop. Its the Peach Pit After-Dark meets The Bronze. Its not that its a bad thing, but it doesnt bring many positives to the show. Yes you have a way to introduce Alex, but I dont think the thirty (30) second music clips in episodes are necessary or help anything.
And I am sorry, but Alex is a lot hotter than Lindsey. But neither compare to Anna.

last season, i preferred the o.c. to one tree hill. this season i'm only watching the o.c. bcuz of seth. i think the writers got a little too cocky with its success and the reason why it jumped to thurs nights. as long as adam brody's still on the show, i'll continue to watch with minimal pleasure.

Mischa's a really good actress, but for some reason she's been pretty bad in this show from the start. I first saw her in a really good movie that nobody's heard of, Pups. Actually, I guess I first saw her in Sixth Sense, but I didn't know that was her until much later. I hate her faux accent that seems to have gotten stronger over the years. She was born in England, but she's lived in New York since she was a toddler.
The most annoying thing about this week's episode was playing the same Album Leaf song 4 times. I love Album Leaf, but why not play multiple songs from them? Even though I like the song they used, I don't really like the beginning and, of course, the beginning was played each time the song was played.
I really like the 2 new girls, but they seemed to fall for Seth and Ryan a little too easily. Of course, that may be a good thing. Too many shows take forever to get characters together.
