The commercial mentioned they were "America's favorite newlyweds". Just how long can you be considered newlywed?

LOL, yeah really. But's it's weird. This is only on my TiVo receiver. The wife just flipped it on in the bedroom and I can hear it. All the other channels are fine.

Oh well, I was mainly interested in sight anyway.

Watching this only because there is no longer a Kathie Lee Christmas special, which used to be the lowlight of the holiday season.

Caught the last 20 minutes of it. I still think her dad is a perv. I base that because of the "Driven" episode on Jessica and various interveiws by Ashlee.

These variety shows aren't nearly as fun when they're deliberately cheesy, which this was throughout. And I can only take so much of Jessica's facial contortions while singing. I don't mind Ashlee, but really Nick's about the only tolerable one for me. The only (mild) laughs I had during the show were during his Trump impression and the "Kind of Lost" parking lot skit. The outtakes weren't bad either, especially in the "Christmas Story" parody when Jessica was intent on pulling Nick's tongue out. The look of complete exasperated annoyance on his face is probably one he makes at least 10 times a day around her

Good to see this isn't getting all the rave reviews like the first one. I saw the first minute of it from my recording of Lost. It was worse than I expected! Even that outfit she was wearing wouldn't have made me want to watch more of that.

this show was just brutal to watch..

I had the tv on for Lost then just "let it play" into the this show.. I get that they are playing up the old school variety show cheesy factor but it was soooooooooo forced it was not even close to funny. The whole production level was closer to a school play then a prime time tv show..

I did think it was nice of Burger King to give the ex-members of 98 Degree's the night off so they could come to the show and sing

Maybe the main problem is that nick can't even sort of kind of act with Jessica, at all... So while Jessica's dumb chick act is bad enough at least she is hot looking, where as nick just "err ahh" wooden nickels his way past everything as far as interactions with his wife. Strangely enough when on screen alone he almost seems normal, but any one liners he throws over to Jessica etc or their banter and so on just never seems to work, at all. Almost as if you can SEE the writer going "NO this is what you would say to your wife after we told her to say that to you!"

I would guess it's the fault of the show writers Vs just letting nick and Jessica sort of ad lib the banter.. Maybe they just can't? No idea.. Their last show, while not great was at least sort of ok in a bad tv sort of way (you know what I mean) but this one was just really bad.

The Drummer Boy duet with Ashley and Jessica was quite painful... but I was when you could tell they were turning down Ashley's mic during Jessica's power vocals.

That was horrible.

Don't you mean turning down her vocal track?

Thank GOD I stopped watching during the first musical number with Jessica in her Padme Amidala outfit. (If anyone has a screen cap of Jessica to compare, please post it).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but here it is:

NBC moved into the lead at 9 p.m. with "The West Wing," 8.9/13. "Nick and Jessica's Family Christmas" posted a 7.9/12 for ABC to finish second. CBS slipped to third with "The King of Queens," 8.2/12, and "Center of the Universe," 6.7/10. FOX held onto fourth with "Nanny 911." UPN's "Kevin Hill" was fifth, beating "Jack & Bobby" on The WB.

Ok...Jessica gives me teh hot but the way she contorts her face and mouth when she sings is just unbearable.

It looks like she is having seizures. Very unflattering.
