I was just going to say him. I remember watching the first episode and falling asleep 15 minutes into it Never watched it again, he should stick to telling people to pick a letter.

I voted for Danza, but Carson Daly was beckoning for me as well.

The current talk show I really hate though is the Jane Pauley show. Mostly because I am at home during the day, and it comes on between Regis and The View.

Her show is just so boring and lacking in focus.

Wow, Carson Daly does a monologue now?? I haven't watched his show in a LONG time obviously. What business does someone who isn't funny have telling jokes on TV?

I like Maury. His show is still halway decent, even if 90% of them are paternity test shows.

I watched almost a full episode of John McEnroe's talk show last night and it was painful.

I was going to say that I couldn't believe no one mentioned him yet, but then I remembered that one ratings report where McEnroe's show pulled a 0 share. No one's watching.

I'm glad to say that Dennis Miller's show has gotten a lot better than when he first started it on CNBC. He seems more comfortable.

O'brien. Way too many of his jokes just get dead silence. There have been some hillarious stuff but the lame/dead jokes just take away from his overall position.

You sure you don't mean Carson? Or perhaps Leno?

That was the dilemma that I faced since we couldn't select more than one shitty host. However, since Carson's jokes aren't anywhere near funny [not that Leno's much better], I chose him. He also edged out Jay where interviewing was concerned. Carson has no style. Period.

How he got that show is beyond comprehension.

I voted Carson Daly-he just seems clueless as a talkshow host.

The other ones I considered:
Tony Danza-got serious consideration, but I've never actually seen it.

Maury Povich-definitely cringeworthy in the big emotional moments, but much more watchable (partly for that reason) than Carson Daly. At least Maury doesn't come across as an idiot, he's just in the wrong format.

oprah winfrey-2nd place. I totally don't get this show.

So did Tatum O'Neal go on that show?

She seemed to hit just about every other talk show promoting her book.

I voted for Carson. I have only seen little bits of his show on a couple of occasions but found it astounding how he could be so blah and unfunny.

The other night I left my TV on in the living room while I was working on my computer in the bedroom. I could hear everything from the beginning of the show. What really stuck with me was this prepared segment. It was a "comical" movie trailer for Oceans 12 with critics praising the film even before they watched it. It was painful, enough to get me off my ass and change the channel on the TV. Even more sad, you could tell that the audience found the segment excruciating as well: no applause or laughter.
