The Apprentice - 11\04

figure i'll get it started....

raj, put on the stupid hardhat

Josh-da-man 11-04-04 08:41 PM

They're just going in the boardroom now...

Spoiler:
Wonder if Raj will be able to squeak by? He's kind of blown the last two projects.

What the fuck was he thinking by taking away a bedroom?

Josh-da-man 11-04-04 08:44 PM

Christ...

Spoiler:
Ivana ripped on Stacie after Trump complimented her.

How stupid is she?

j123vt_99 11-04-04 08:54 PM

ok.. so what's your #.. do you have a boyfriend.. pony up... smooth

Patman 11-04-04 09:05 PM

Doh! I switched from CSI to ER, and got the cabbie interview with the fired one. Damn NBC for starting ER early!!!

SuperJim88 11-04-04 09:54 PM

That was just halirious. Minutes after he was fired, he's already back on his way of picking up girls. Amazing.........

Alyoshka 11-04-04 09:57 PM

I'd try to pick up the receptionist too.

dhmac 11-04-04 11:11 PM

Spoiler:
Raj
was way out there with his ideas most of the time, so it was obvious his time was numbered, but he was fun to watch and I'll miss him on the show.

Gallant Pig 11-04-04 11:13 PM

And worthless cog Ivanna slips thru again.

I'm convinced if Raj brought in that loudmouth guy he wouldn't have gotten the boot, funny thing is Raj called The Don out on it.

Kal-El 11-04-04 11:55 PM

I thought Ivana ragged on Jennifer and not Stacie. Everyone was talking about how good Stacie was and thought I heard Ivana say Jennifer had to pull her away from the windows and that's why Jennifer say Ivana was begrudging. Wasn't really paying that much attention so I could be wrong.

It was Raj's time to go. His novelty wore out and that bathroom fluke just did it for him.

boredsilly 11-05-04 03:40 AM

It seems like being PM on the losing team is an almost automatic firing. Too bad, as Raj was one of the most interesting people to watch on the show. Ivana is lame and really should just quit because there is no chance in hell that she wins.

movieking 11-05-04 04:20 AM

If I was a responsible for hiring for a company, and had to choose based on what episodes aired so far, I would probably hire Bradford or Raj. Bradford's firing was idiotic, and Raj seems like he has a good head on his shoulders, but his downfall was due to Kevin (but what was up in getting rid of the fouth bedroom?)

movieking 11-05-04 04:20 AM

And thank God that little troll Stacy was not back.

Sad to see Raj  go, but he made some bad errors in the last two challenges.

iggystar 11-05-04 07:37 AM

I'm hurt that Raj is gone. Don't they re-air the eps on MSNBC? I can't find the listing.

iggystar 11-05-04 07:38 AM

Oops, found it. Re-airing on CNBC tonight.

Agreed on both. Ivana is like the Kwame of this season. He didn't do anything and just slipped all the through.

Gotta love Raj hitting on Robin at the end.:thumbsup:

j123vt_99 11-05-04 07:53 AM

i think they are reairing on NBC on Sat.

Glad Raj and his stupid bow ties are gone. Usless Ivana should be next to get the boot.

PeMo 11-05-04 09:13 AM

Why does it always come down to the boardroom? It seems like the projects and the performances of the individuals in them have little to do with who gets fired. The PM is always the 'favorite' to get fired, but it's always a comment or something that pisses Donald off in the boardroom that gets them fired. Raj got fired because he didn't bring Chris in with him - not because he failed as the PM (which I don't think he necessarily did).

Look at some of the ones that are left now - Ivana, Maria, Andy, Chris, Sandy? They have a shot at running a company for Donald??

That's what I thought too.
I'm glad Raj is out, as he's pretty arrogant and pompous. I thought it was pretty shady when he got together with the other girl(i forget her name) to plan on how to bas ivana. Ivana isn't the greatest, I agree, but obviously she worked, as even the Trump Worker said she worked hard.
Another thing about Raj that I dislike is that he doesn't know when to shut up, just like Bradford.

Gil Jawetz 11-05-04 09:53 AM

Raj is a loser. He hits on girls the way a real loser does. He was entertaining but I'm glad he's gone. An annoying, obnoxious idiot. There's only room for one of those on Trump's show. ;)

tofu 11-05-04 10:14 AM

I'm so amazed that Ivana has made it through til now. She's got saved by Bradford's bonehead move.

I predict that the stockbroker guy, barring a huge disaster by the other team, will probably lose next week's project

Achtung 11-05-04 11:16 AM

Honestly, I just don't think there's anyone left that I care a hoot about. The remaining candidates just seem completely devoid of not only personality but any sort of leadership skills as well. It's getting obvious that the firings are more about ratings at this point. Oh well, its Trump's show and he can do what he wants.

Still, turning a four-bedroom home into a three-bedroom? -ohbfrank-

Exactly. Makes you wonder what the point of the first 40 minutes of the show is.

j123vt_99 11-05-04 11:22 AM

well that is the reason they have the extended version of the show with even more boardroom stuff... I think viewers said they enjoyed the boardroom stuff which is why they are pushing it so hard

BassDude 11-05-04 12:24 PM

Glad Raj is gone. Still pulling for Kevin.

I thought Trump's comments on Contractors was right on, but I wonder if he'll get any mail...

DRG 11-05-04 12:38 PM

I like Raj, but he deserved to go. He had a hand in losing the last two challenges. This time, his biggest failing was not picking the contractor , or even the 4 vs 3 room decision, but allowing that bad contractor to have him by the balls and just sheepishly retreating from the confrontation.

On the other team, Andy should get props for helping out his team once again. Getting those additional contractors was a great move on his part, that went largely unheralded.

Fok 11-05-04 01:50 PM

Poor Raj, oh well at least he's still got his sense of humor.

Gil Jawetz 11-05-04 02:23 PM

Too bad he's the only one laughing.

Jadzia 11-05-04 04:26 PM

Trump and Raj were both on The View today. Trump seemed genuinely fond of Raj and spoke highly of him; just said he made a mistake.

movieking 11-05-04 04:39 PM

I remember that when Caroline was on the View, Troy was there as well. I guess they try to book the more popular firees.

Josh-da-man 11-05-04 08:32 PM

About those contractors... what was up with that?

If I was a contactor, and was going on a network show in that capacity, I'd go out of my way to get the job done.

Would any of you hire those guys after watching last night's show?

Gallant Pig 11-05-04 11:08 PM

Maybe they hooked them up with contractors who would purposely sand bag.

Think about it. Sandy's guy sucked. Then Andy got those Italian guys and they rocked.

Sandy sucked. She sucked more than Raj. Andy saved her ass big time.

Dabaomb 11-06-04 01:26 AM

Sad to see Raj go, he was definitely a character.

Him hitting on Robin was classic. The guy has no fear of rejection.

Next week's task was tailor-made for Sandy....Briday Shower Owner.

Two weeks in a row Andy has saved their asses. Raj could have easily survived this firing. All he had to do was pin it on Kevin and say Kevin was responsible for recommending the contrator, who didn't deliver. That is the reason we lost this task. If Raj would have hung his hat on that instead of trying to get rid of Ivanna, he would still be in this and Kevin would be gone. Trump doesn't like when you bring someone into the boardroom who didn't screw up on that particular task. Raj could have also brought Chris back in and I believe Trump would have fired Chris. I am a little surprised Trump didn't fire Chris on the spot after what he said.

KirstenS 11-06-04 12:15 PM

Did anyone else's jaw drop when they heard the values of those houses? $300+ for those little run-down things. Those houses would be in the low $100's around here. I know I'm not moving to New York anytime soon!

I agree.

You mention those run-down houses would go for the low 100K's?

What state do you live in? Because in the San Fran area, a house like that would easily be about 400K-600K, depending on the neighborhood.

His biggest failure was turning a 4 bedroom into a 3 bedroom. I'm not a real estate expert, but it seems like you'd get more value for more rooms.

His second biggest failure was not trying to remedy an obvious mistake in hiring the contractor he did.

1) Kelly is the best player there and has proven to be a good leader.

2) It's not just about ratings. This show is basically watching a long interview process (but making a game out of it). Donald is hiring someone to RUN ONE OF HIS COMPANIES. Its not just how they do in the project. It's their personality, their ability to cope with problems, their ability to deal with other people, etc. If Donald doesn't like them, of course he's going to fire them -- no matter how well they did on 1 specific project.
