Great episode. Of course Clark saves the day again. As soon as he threw the ball I was thinking, "everyone's gonna be looking at the ball". Very cool sequence.

that last play made it look like he would be faster than the flash.

Was thinking the exact same thing. That was pretty tight when he ran and took care of business and then comes back and makes a follow through motion to make it seem like he never left. Looks like they're going back to the Lex has a thing for Lana idea that they toyed with in season 3.

As for next episode... all I can muster is WTF??? Now I can't complain about seeing Lois in what she was wearing in that short preview, but I'm not sure about the episode as a whole.

I have a few questions pertaining to this week:

1) Clark's superspeed stops time?

2) No one videotapes football games in Smallville?

3) What could it be in level 33.1 -- very interesting indeed.

Clark should go after Chloe instead of Lana. Anyone see how they were looking at each other toward the end...

The ending between Clark and Lex was pretty neat... I was waiting for 'To be continued.."

1. This is how Smallville shows Clark in superspeed, it obviously wouldn't be all that cool to see Clark do something, then you see a big blur, and it goes back to Clark without showing what he did.

2. Clark moves faster than the human eye can see, and therefore faster than what a videocamera can see I would guess.

This was a great episode. Loved the sequence where he goes back in time. I wish they would show what Lex shows Mikhail (I hate when they do that!).

Next weeks looks like a Charmed episode.

Did I miss something? Who goes back in time?

I immediately thought of The Witches of Eastwick.

Patman 11-04-04 06:53 AM

Clark goes into Flash-mode to save Chloe right after throwing the ball downfield for the winning TD.

Superman07 11-04-04 07:17 AM

I kinda liked the episode....I take that back, I did like the episode, but I didn't like Myx too much. I think if he had the attitude of his prior incarnations. However, I suppose if you don't even know who Myx is he's simply another FOTW and how he acts doesn't mean anything to you.

I did really like the chat between Clark and his dad. Very well done.

Very interesting exchange betwee Clark and Lex. New spin on everything this year as Clark and Lex are "friends", but Lex is still putting Clark through tests.

Level 33.1 = Buffy Season 4...

Oh yeah, I don't think anybody has mentioned it, but I really like the mother talk Martha had with Clark. Come to think about it kinda an alegory for drugs. Hehe.

I was just about to say Lana needs to be slapped, but then it occured to me she is doing the same thing to Clark that Clark does to Lex. Jumps to conclusions - even though in this case it's probably Clark that is not jumping to conclusions. Any thoughts on why Jason never told Lana Lex knew about them?

I did pick up on the Chloe/Clark glance at the end. Most likely negated if Lois comes back (didn't see the preview, so nobody confirm. I'm spoiler free these days).

I've been saying that since season 1

You don't need to. If you go fast enough, you even make time go backward.

jiggawhat 11-04-04 12:15 PM

It's like the first superman when he spins the earth backwards.

Superman07 11-04-04 12:24 PM

I wish things had of been moving verrrrry slowly. At least enough that you would notice time wasn't stopped. Maybe on a repeat viewing that will be apparent.

Hokeyboy 11-04-04 12:33 PM

Honestly, people. He did not go back in time -- he was just moving really, really fast.

Think about it: just a few weeks ago he was blown away by the fact that he could fly. Do you think that, if he had the ability to travel through time, that he wouldn't even be slightly amazed and aghast?

I was just going to say the same thing, no time traveling occurred in this episode, clark just went into superspeed...

fumanstan 11-04-04 01:17 PM

Another great episode, and glad to see Mxyzptlk as the enemy. I agree that they should have tried to make him say his name backwards... i was waiting for it and really dissapointed with the whole locusts thing.

I'm surprised people seemed to be so confused about what happened with Clark. Going back in time? Come on...

Loved the conversation with Clark and his father. Glad to see Clark grow up and take responsibility without just listening to everything his dad tells him to do.

Can any comic book guys explain the significance of 33.1? If any?

Superman07 11-04-04 01:23 PM

Nothing comes to mind on 33.1 I'm sure it's just supposed to signify some sort of secret place hence the .1.

riley_dude 11-04-04 02:27 PM

Kristen Kreuk should just get naked.
So should Tem Welling.

A decent episode but nothing great.

Time Travel? I always thought they were just showing his super speed from his point of view.

Patman 11-04-04 04:17 PM

Too bad they couldn't squeeze in Mikhail wearing that silly bowler-like hat that Mxyzptlk wears in the comics.
