I'm wondering if the teaser for next week somehow is trying to fool us into thinking Sayid and Jack are attacking Sawyer because of the inhaler and maybe its because they think he's the one who hit Sayid in the back of the head first?

Foolish Hu-mans! Sawyer hit Sayid.

They showed the airhead sister lighting hers, but they didn't show Sawyer (Tom Sawyer? Smart Rake but generally good?) lighting his. That means he didn't. But then ... who lit Sawyers firework?

Thank You - Everyone Assumes that Sawyer was not guilty because he was busy lighting the rocket.

But.......

He lit the firework by using a cigarette. (We know he has these)

He lights the cigarette- and ties the fuse to the but end of the cigarette...

Let's say it takes 5 minutes for the amber on the cig to reach the end where the fuse it tied, then he just lights the cig up at 4:55 and takes a walk.

5 minutes later - BLAMO the firework goes off.

Interesting idea there, but I refuse to accept it without motive!

Yeah sorry, that's what I was getting at when I said this was making me wonder about the previews: I think they're misleading us.

Not that they WOULD mislead us...

Sawyer didn't even know where Sayid was going other than up the side of the mountain. How could he get there in a short amount of time.

Sayid getting hit would seem to be done by someone we have not seen.

I haven't seen the movie so I don't know the character she played but her acting bio does include "Shiri" in the list of movies that she has appeared.

Damn this is the best show this season. Smallville's my favorite, but this is The Best this season. It's really getting redundant asking week after week. Could Kate BE any hotter? Hot Damn. Sun's not so far behind either in my book. And I think I'm the only one who doesn't think that Link has a thing for her. I think it's like they're just sharing an inside joke or something. Good to see the hot sister CAN be trusted with some responsibility. And Sawyer too, apparently. No idea who clocked Sayid.

The triangulation thing seems a bit coconut radio-ish to me. I've got no problem suspending disblief with it, but still...

I also like Locke. I don't see him as having been transformed by the island so much as just someone who was out of his element finally finding an environment for which he's better suited.

I liked the story he told Charlie about the moth, but actually seeing Charlie emerge from the earth like that and then having him see the moth at the end was a bit much.

As for which "main" character is going to be the first to get aced, I say it's the Korean dude. He's not a very sympathetic character and his inability to speak English is eventually going to become tiresome to both the audience and the writers.

An interesting point was brought up on another board. All of the people so far are in pairs (or were supposed to be in pairs)

Jack w/ his father's body
Kate w/ the bounty hunter (or whatever he truly was)
Sun w/ Jin
Charlie (who was trying to get his brother)
the brother/sister
pregnant girl w/baby

Perhaps this has something to do with things. or maybe not

Anyone know what book Sawyer was reading when they came looking for a laptop?

Locke was carrying his memories of the 1-900-FUNTIME girl, the lady was married and Hurly might still be hiding someone on his person somewhere.
