Yeah, it would be tough to do a reunion without at least addressing his illness, or not having him be a very big part of the show, and without Alex P., it's not really Family Ties.

Brian (the young kid) just got in trouble for DWI... Tina Yothers i think is all goth now
However, you did just provide the plotline for the reuinion right there. We already know Meredith can play the distressed mother part. Throw in a guest appearance by Courtney, show us how Nick and Mallory are doing and I think we have a reunion!

Maybe Kelly Hu or Julie McCullough will make an appearance? I thought both were hotter than Chelsea

It looks like he's a wax figure or someone who's been having to pose with strangers all day.

No, I don't think Steven Keaton was killed off, you may be thinking of "The Wonder Years". I knew about Tina going goth, didn't hear about the other kid's DUI. Was that before or after Tracey Gold's bust? -

He did get hit by a hockey puck last year that knocked out 5 teeth and required 30 stiches.

At the time (April 2003) they said, "given the damage it's unlikely he'll be shooting any Growing Pains reunions any time soon--or anything else for that matter."

I'm gonna miss this....stupid football.
Anyone know if there's gonna be a rerun? The MSN tv schedule didn't find one, at least not in the next two weeks.

this is so bad and full of continuity issues
I don't remember much from the last movie except that it didn't suck this much
that's not the house they had originally yet they act like it is. shit, it's not even close to the same floor plan
apparently no mention of anything from the last movie
the dad to mike in the grocery store "didn't you learn anything after 166 episodes" horrible writing

"we didn't have the perfect marriage. we had our problems. specificlly every tuesday night from 8 to 8:30"

WTF? I couldn't figure out if they wanted to point as their life as a sitcom or what. just seemed odd.

They did weird stuff like that during the run of the show, like saying that they would talk about the problems during Moonlighting and stuff like that.

Wasn't that great of a show. But it was nice to see the whole gang back together for a reunion.

they had some stuff in there that was intentionally cheesy, like the ring tone and the mention of tuesday nights. or with mike's jacket "it's not like leonardo dicaprio wore it or anything"

not that funny or clever, but i liked it.

all the more reason for them to not act like this was the original house, but they were talking about growing up in it and repairs the dad made to it while they were kids

They also said something about "Didn't you learn anything from the past ___ episodes?". Pretty weak movie, but I guess it was ok just for nostalgia's sake.

I do remember that they moved out on the series finale of Growing Pains
In the finale, Jason, Maggie, Ben & Chrissy moved to DC for Maggie's newjob, while Mike & Carol moved to NYC.

The series ended with a shot of the familiy portrait sitting on the mantle of the empty house.

Hanging with Mr Cooper began with jason seaver coming to the house to get the picture he forgot (Mr Cooper's first few episodes were in GP house)

BUT this move WAS MENTIONED in the movie

When Carol first arrives...

Carol: You're moving? Like in 1992?
Jason: No, not like in 1992. This time it's for real.

Just watched the movie, I had it on Tivo.

Wasn't terrible, but definetly not a great movie.

As mentioned before, lots of issues that were ignored from the last movie a few years ago.

Carol married the campaign manager of her mothers opponent. The guy had a kid. No mention or appearence by the kid this time.

Also, she just wona primary, and nothing was mentioned about it. Not even a "she decided not to run for office" or that she lost, etc.

But it was a throwback to childhood and watching these episodes.

Also, it was painful for obvious nods to the show. The two mentioned above. And the line when Mike was giving his old jacket to his daughter and she says "it's not like Leonardo DiCaprio wore the jacket."

Oh well... it was mildly entertaining.
