Poor Neela. What a horrible subplot.

Well, Pratt came back too soon. Carter is overcompensating to try and get over his son's death. Abby's instincts win out over Ray's indignation. Luka is trying to walk that thin line between father-figure and sig-oth. Corday is probably going to get the boot for doing the transplant surgery not sanctioned by UNUS and fed guidelines (due to HIV+ organ). Frank was pretty funny in spots. Chuck breastfeeding Cosmo was disturbing as hell! Glad to see Susan back for an appearance.

I hated the whole 4th of July thing - why bother? It's October and it seemed reall unnecessary. I liked the Photoshopped fireworks, though, very nice.

Neela is being horribly abused by the writers. It's not interesting, just mildly depressing.

Alex, that little kid, is the most annoying little kid. Since everybody leaves this show, it's about time he departs as well.

Yeah, maybe they can have Alex hit by a falling submarine.

Abby and Sam each in denim jackets

Agreed on Neela. This season's biggest WTF? so far.

Well, at least Maura looked cute. I liked this one though I agree that the Neela storyline is a waste.

It was good to see Abby try and get Carter to a meeting. He needs help.

Good to see Susan

The Nella story and Alex poping up again dragged this episode down

I was confused by the 4th of July setting as well. In the past it's always seemed like the series was happening pretty much in real time (they'd start having snow on the ground around November or December).

I think we all know "who won't be back" (as the promo threatened) after next weeks ep. She was pretty vocal a few months back about her firing.

Put me in the "I Hate Neela's Storyline" camp. Neela's my favorite character (due to that fact that I'd eat bees for Parminder Nagra if she asked me to), and I hate seeing her treated this way. I'm trying to figure out where they're going with this arc? Maybe she can become Weaver's assistant or something.

I thought it was a re-run b/c of the 4th scenario.

So from the previews, who do you think is not coming back?

I'm guessing
Spoiler:
Neela since they're treating her character like crap

No, it will be:

Spoiler:
Corday because Alex Kingston was basically fired from the show last month, and Corday doing the HIV+ transplant will be her character's undoing, and she'll get the boot, probably back to England

I enjoyed the episode and I really like Neela. I thought it was funny seeing her in the convenience store.

I've read some spoilers about future eps:
Spoiler:
Susan will be made chief of the ER. She is going to offer Neela a position as an intern, since Howard is going to get the boot(and we see him being set up for that with the OCD thing this ep). I can totally see Susan having the balls to go up against Carey and hire Neela. In the next episode(I think), Susan will go to the convenience store and order a "one large cup of coffee, and a first year intern."

Kovac sleeping w/ the glasses on was a nice touch.

Abby was good, as always.

They should have come up w/ a better way to send off Corday.

The only good part about this season is that Weaver has had a minimal role.

Glad Susan will be back soon. And Chuck.
