But yet it is still around.

Can you define floudnering a bit more?

Just because their ratings aren't great I wouldn't give them a huge knock.

Remember the days when TGIF were at it's height? I seriously doubt NBC had the numbers it had during "Must See TV" Thursdays.

In fact, I'd say 2 or 3 years ago CBS was last out of the major networks (throw fox in if you want). Now suddenly it's in first.

All it takes is a few good shows and some solid decisions. ABC could very easily turn things around.

Maybe this is what you meant, but it felt like you were insinuating they were giong under.

Also, is Family Matters really a spin off of perfect strangers? Or was it just the same actress?? I find it a strech that her "elevator operator" character was so well liked that they were like "hey, let's make a show about her, but hardly ever haver her in it, and make the focus about the dad and the weird kid next door."
And yes, I know the dynamic and focus of the show changed over the years. They should definitely have stopped when the mother quit.

I'm embarrassed to admit to this knowledge, but as an avid Perfect Strangers watcher from the ages 8 to 12 I know that the elevator operator's name was Harriet Winslow, and she had a husband named Carl who was a cop and was played by the same actor (that guy from Die Hard). While she was barely in the show it is indeed a spin off. And I remember one of the times the actress playing Harriet hosted TGIF explained how Family Matters spinned off from Perfect Strangers... I used to have this explanation recorded on VHS but its not really worth my time to go looking for it

Urkel was never a part of the grand scheme of things. The show was originally about the Winslow family, but then Urkel showed up and never left.

Hence me saying the dynamic of the show changed. I know it was originally about them. Urkle didn't really become a focus until he gradually became popular.

As much as I'd like to support Mel Gibson (Exec. Producer), Complete Savages is pretty bad.

Of course, the wife of Donald Twinkacetti (Ritz's Discount Store owner) was played by the same actress that would appear 2 years later as Lydia Markham, the advice columnist at the Chicago Chronicle.

I need help.

You need to get your hearing checked.

It was in today's USAToday, top 20 shows of last week, Lost was 6 or 7th with about 17 million viewers.

My vote goes to Will & Grace... oh, I'm still waiting on that one. How about Father of the Pride. That gets my vote. Should make this a poll.

I enjoyed the pilot, but last episode was pretty awful.

Bump for fun reading since we are discussing which shows won't make it this season. We actually nailed quite a few of them.

Listen Up
Father of the Pride
Hawaii
LAX
