Someone please bring me up to date on Enterprise
I'm going to start watching Enterprise again, since there are new people in charge and they're finishing up the Xindi-Time War storyline.
I didn't watch last seasons at all, and only about half of the season before that.
Can someone give me the basics (or point me to a site that has a summary) of the story to date?

You're not asking for much, are you?
I would agree: go and read the episode descriptions at http://www.tvtome.com

Spoiler:
That was very vague, and I suggest you read TVTome for more in depth info.

I thought Enterprise improved a lot in the last 4-6 episodes last season. Hopefully they can build on that momentum.

I may watch the first episode to see if it's improved any... morbid curiosity, I guess.

Granted they don't "get" Trek for the most part anyway, but make of that what you will.

4 out of 10? Yikes. They better do something drastic like get Brent spiner or Silliam Shatner to come on to get people to watch.
Oh wait, they already did that.
Look for Nichelle Nichols by years end.

Do NOT forget that the first few episodes of the season are probably hold-over from last seasons plans. You need to give Manny Coto some time before he can clean up the mess that he was left.
Give it at least until ep 7 or 8 of the season. THEN start making judgements.

Last season's enterprise was better merely because it lent itself to more jokes while watching. I kept asking my wife if Enterprise was supposed to be a comedy
I really couldn't stand the overused aspect of starting in media res and then going back to the beginning. Seemed at least 3 or 4 episodes used that technique. Someone had been watching too much Alias.
I just hope that this coming season's rumored Vulcan conflict will eliminate the un-Vulcan Vulcans we've had since the beginning and bring on the real Vulcans we've been missing.
