What's really creepy is that she looks like an old friend of my brother's. He was over at my house last night and it was creeping him out. He kept telling the camera man to not show her face/mouth.

What a bummer, Dolly was the only reason to watch the show this time around as the other contestants are lacking in both personality and looks. I love how she kept putting herself down as a dumb sheep farmer yet she was the most well-spoken of the bunch. The rest can't string together a sentence to save their lives.

This season isn't starting off too good.

Once again with men vs woman we only see lame challenges like balancing on a beam and solving puzzles. That's 2 balance beams in a row. A huge advantage for the women. Their bodies (including their feet) are much smaller then the mens tehrefore making it an unfair contest. Why aren't we seeing "who can lift more weight" competitons or "who can run faster" or "who can swim faster" ... because the men would win every time.

Only when the two tribes merge will we see the "real" Survivor challenges.

Dolly was too stupid for Survivor. It's too bad because she was the prettiest girl there.

Next week they said each tribe will vote off a member.

That first challenge was a Catch-22 for the men. If they lost, no fire. If they won, they had a good chance of catching teh gay.

IMO that reward challenge was the lamest one in Survivor history. Besides the fact that it was seriously biased in favor of the women, whose smaller frame made the task much easier, it was just stupid and boring. To cap this episode off, Dolly, who BTW has to be the best-looking sheep farmer in history, gets the boot instead of the annoying, Rose McGowan look-alike Eliza.

I agree. I don't have a problem with the Men vs Women division but at least mix up the challenges some. That was 2 challenges in a row where the balance beam was used. Last time they divided things up like this, they came up with better challenges.

I always love when they do the guide/blindfold/search challenge.

Not too sad to see Dolly go. She looks like Cindy Brady and didn't do much for me. The last thing you want to do early is be wishy-washy.

I liked the reward challenge that involved balance. It made Chris's comments from last week about "Survivor is not about being able to balance" look pretty stupid.

This Survivor seems to be taking a while to get going. Only 2 pages in this thread so far. TAR would have 2 pages before the episode aired.

Shucks. I was shopping yesterday, and one of the clerks was talking about how she knew one of Dolly's ex-boy friends. With the vote last night, it no longer matters that I overheard someone who knows someone who once dated a quasi-celebrity. Oh well.

Next week looks rather interesting....

That challenge was indeed one where one had to alternately open and close one's eyes...

Ugh. I've not been this bored with Survivor since season 4 (I stopped watching after 2 episodes, so I had no idea who Rob was until All-Stars). Very uninteresting and "who-gives-a-crap" characters. Bleh. Maybe I'll give it one more week. Be nice if TAR was back on already .

ha ha, i loved when the srage was yelling at rory...

rory: "LOPEVI! LOPEVI! LOPEVI!"

sarge: "HEY! HEY! MAN, YOU ARE MESSING ME UP!"

sad to see dolly go, she was cute. it seems like in the last few seasons, people are being less secretive. especially so far this season. going right up to people and saying, "you're a big threat" or "you're getting voted out"

IMO, amy (big jugs, blue bikini) was the one who orchestrated this whole thing. She told both Leanne and Eliza that they were at risk, which set the wheels turning to vote out dolly.

dolly was pretty dumb for voicing the fact that she considered herself the swing vote.

Eliza is scary looking. What's holding those eyes in her head?

Julie is the only pretty one left.

I think Ami is very nice to look at. Too bad she plays for the other team though.

From the neck down, but as I said earlier - she looks like a guy I know. That's never a good thing.

she does? is that in her bio, or all are "baristas" gay?

barista - nice way of saying she works at starbucks...

man, i do not like that mia chick with the nose ring. something about her rubs me the wrong way, and it wasn't the dance that pissed rory off.

As soon as I saw the begining of that challenge, I knew the men would lose; not because it involved balancing but because the men would be too squeamish to get that close to each other. Kind of like how male friends always sit with an extra seat between them at the movie theatre.

Rory=Hootie

Can someone please sum up the strategy that went down before the women's vote? I don't know if it is because I don't find this cast that interesting, but my brain kind of checked out when they showed the women discussing who/why they were going to vote.

It wasn't completely spelled out. The older and younger group each had a pick, but Dolly kept swinging back and forth, and had dominated at least one of the groups' picks. In the bickering about her swinging, somebody threw out "maybe we should just vote her off." Either I tuned out too, or they didn't show it completely developed. I saw it as a third possibility going into the council, not a sure thing. (But as soon as she said she was the swing vote, I knew she was toast)

I think the older group voted as a block and Leigh Ann scared Eliza into voting with them.

Sad to see Dolly go She acted as if she had never seen the show before. I'm going to miss those shorts! At least she seemed happy to go. Somebody should've spoke up and organized to get Scout voted off. She was largely responsible for their loss. One of the women who was blindfolded knew there was still a puzzle piece in the water.

Rory needs to get his "grown ass" in line. His mouth has made him a complete outcast.

I'm surprised that a few folks here don't seem too impressed by last night's episode. I thought it was great TV. Funny challenges and a great boot in clueless Dolly (ass or no ass, you have to admit it was deserved).

The balance beam challenge may have been "unfair to the men" but remember that Brady crossed almost immediately. Last week's Immunity was lost by Chris, not the other men, who seemed to cross the beam just fine.

I just can't stop laughing at how stupid these players are.
If Rory yelling during the challenge, I'm surprised no one else told him to shut up.

Then Dolly with I'm the swing vote I've got all the power, then BAM! she's out of there!

the best part of the balance beam challenge was just how touchy-feely JP got with the other guys. he was really leaning into it, full body hug.

it wouldn't have been as gay if he had included a little pat on the back. that makes any hug less gay.
