Personally, I thought last night's episodes was one of the most disturbing we've seen on Nip/Tuck. The writers have been hinting at the incestual relationship between Eva and Adrian for a while, but I didn't need to see them kissing. That's just not right. And you know, there were also people getting cut up - but I think I can handle that more.

Interesting how Christian always seems to find himself tied down somewhere...
Poor Merrill, I'd totally forgotten what had happened to him last season and how he'd lost everything. I thought it was a nice break from all the other stuff bringing him back.
And much agreement with the "didn't need to go there" sentiment on Ava's incestuous relationship with her son. Could have left it well enough alone and I would've been fine with that. But noooo, they had to go ahead and make out on the couch. Bleah.

Wow, I was under the impression that that was the season finale... I think it could have been! What a great episode.

I believe there are 3 more eps this season (there are 16 total this season compared to 13 last season).

Yeah, I think this show finally crossed the line and it appears that they did it just for shock value.
The writing and acting is so incredible that it was obious what was going on between Ava and Adrien, so there was no reason to actually cheapen the show by taking it there. Maybe we will see a certain reason for it before season's end.
The show needs to return its focus on the patients and how they affect Christian and Sean. If that remains the focus, we can get at least one and maybe two more good seasons out of the show if the creator allowed it in his absence.

Please no. If the creator doesn't want it to continue, please let him end it. No West Wings please.

This show crosses the line almost every week and that's what I like about it.
I don't like any of the characters as they wallow in their own misery; therefore, I don't care what happens to them. That doesn't make for good storytelling or good television.

Okay I think Christian has gone under the knife more than all of his patients total, poor guy.

I like the actor who played Bobbolit, but his part came off kind of like "If Frank Booth wasn't good at what he did."
The best scene was the meeting with the principal.

In many way though, that storyline DOES continue. Matt lying under oath about his involvement was the first significant step in his slide towards becoming what he was up until Sean basassed him in the principal's office.
And let's keep the Matt storylines to a minimum. He's a horrible actor, an unattractive guy and boring as hell. Don't even get me started on that damn mullet either

I dont think it was cheapend anymore than when they had a threeway. This is Nip/Tuck after all. If you want a show to play it safe, watch Touched by an Angel.
I don't have any problems with Nip/Tiuck pushing the limits each week, but don't you agree the show will reach a point where that is all it does? This show is amazing and probably my favorite on television, but I have a feeling that if they continue to rush storylines the way they have this season, then the show is just going to become a novelty of shock value and that is something I don't want to watch. The show has really started to drift too far from the premise of how the patients effect Sean and Chrisitian to a "shock of the week" storylines that are either never completely flushed out or forgotten about until a few weeks later.
I honestly don't give a crap about Ava and Adrien, so beyond the eye candy that is Famke, that storyline has nothing for me and is taking away time from the show's main characters.
I guess what bothers me the most is knowing how TV execs act and if they constantly keep hearing how great the show is because it pushing the limits each week instead of how incredible the writing and acting is, then the show will degenerate into another one dimensional show ala network television who's schtick happens to be its shock value.

Amen to those commenting on the show turning into a shock fest. I had been unsure about how to feel about this season. Up until the episode with Christian and Sean's 3 way, then I knew it was just all about trying to shock and surprise, with little to back it up. This last episode only confirmed it. I can't take anyone on the show serious anymore, and for me at least, it's hard to stay interested when that occurs.

That's why I am getting disappointed w/ this season, because I watched Season 1 immediately before this season started (when FX repeated it) and I was able to marvel at it in all its glory.

I think the writers went too fast with the first season and we are now suffering the effects of it. The first season seemed to cover about a year and a half, we all talked about this when it was first airing, they needed to slow it down, spread the story lines out and into the second season. Same with this season, they jumped the gun on the Matt paternaty IMO, when they could have had us hanging on until the season ending episode to see if they would find out yet.
