Yeah - I was going to say that I'd rather see Heather Locklear struting around in tight pants than David Caruso take his sunglasses off a dozen times in a hour.

Way ta go, guys!
From TVGuide.com:
JUST PLANE GOOD: It looks like Heather Locklear's got another hit on her hands. Her new NBC airport drama LAX took off with more than 13 million viewers Monday night, finishing a strong second to ABC's Monday Night Football. Even more impressive: LAX outperformed Las Vegas — the very show it cloned. Of course, LAX's real test comes next week when CSI: Miami returns with new episodes. ABC's Apprentice copycat The Benefactor, meanwhile, averaged 10 million viewers in its debut. By Donald Trump's estimations, that would make it the most watched show in history!!!

I liked the music - that was it. I'll give it one more chance and it's gone. I liked Medical Investigation more, but that's mostly because of Christopher Gorham (Popular, Odyssey 5 and Jake 2.0 all being vastly superior, but they're no longer on the air).

I thought it wasn't bad and I'll keep watching. I heard it gets a lot better by episode 3. Apparently the pilot was reworked a lot and I heard the series takes a couple episodes to get into a groove.

Boy, I watched the first 15 minutes of this and thought it was a train wreck (or I guess plane crash would be more appropriate!). Anyway, I have to admit the second half was really good and interested me enough in these characters to check back in on them next week.
I think what happened with the pilot (from what I've read) is that the show was orginally supposed to be a comedy - but people who prescreened it thought airport workers should take their jobs more seriously, so they tried to infuse some drama in it. The mix didn't work for the pilot, but hopefully they'll find the right mix in future shows.

I thought it was a pretty good show. Not brilliant, but amusing enough to pass an hour. In fact, the way CSI: Miami has gone downhill, I might have picked this instead, but for now I'll just have the DirecTivo record both.

I hope it does get better by episode three. I will continue to watch until then.

I was thinking the same thing. I actually saw Corbin Bernsen the other day on a freakin' soap opera-- he looked like the crypt keeper.

I don't think this is that bad of a show. It's funnier than it is serious and I kind of like that. It's not as good as Vegas, but it's definitely better than CSI: Miami.
My favorite part of the show was the sub-plot w/ the Indian and Ed (?).
I also like the music for the show - I think I heard a Doves song thrown into the mix.

I've been trying to figure out why I really don't like this show and yet am compelled to watch it -- it seems a bit fluffy, yet oddly compelling. It seems badly written, yet the dialogue works. I don't get it -- I've never had a reaction to a show like this. I might be waiting for some character development because there really hasn't been much to care about yet, so I'll give it another week or two.
Not a bad show tonight -- nice to see Johnny Galecki getting some work!

While the show is nothing spectacular, I do find it engaging. Locklear and Underwood are both great TV actors and I enjoy both of them.
Good ending to tonight's episode. They can't all be happy endings.

"He sees you as prey being you have the heart of a rabbit"
other then that, this ep did not really seem to go anywhere.. Errr much as I feared a show based on an airport would be like. What's next? Lost kid? Parking issues? Late plane? Then another late plane, then another late plane? Then some more lost kids... Then some strange people stuck at the airport due to...... a late plane..
There is a reason no one wants to get stuck at an airport, it's boring..

I agree with you. It looked like it was going nowhere and fast. Atleast with vegas you have pretty eye candy to look at when the story is just another card counter being tracked down with enough side characters and storys going to actually enjoy yourself for the hour.
