What animated series you hope never makes a comeback?

Back in the hay day of Hanna Barbera in the 60's when they over produced animation my pick would be Lippy the Lion.

King of the Hill!!!!

Oh, wait, it's still on.

I guess I'd vote for Family Dog or Fish Police. Pretty obvious choices, but they really did suck.

In 6 months, we can revive this thread and add Father of the Pride.

These all made a comeback of sorts and were truly terrible.

Flinstones
Jetsons
Johnny Quest
Scooby Doo
PC Looney Toons
Spider-man
Tom & Jerry

Others that I can live without:

Wacky Racers
Laff-a-lympics

the smurfs

as a kid it was a neat show but now the whole hook of every 5th word or so being "smurf" makes a person want to poke their ears with an ice pick.. Of course no worse I'm sure the some of the stuff parents have to put up with now as far as kiddy toons.. but I would hate to have kids some AND have the smurfs return big.. oh please no no no!!

of course the smurf line did make for a pretty funny x rated like SNL skit of "I'm going to smurf all over you" and so on..

Remakes/redos usually suck. Be original.

I vote for all series that are not currently in production.

Any cartoon that I loved as a kid. I'm sure if they were remade today, they would be chock full of hip-hop lingo, wiseass references, and fart jokes. Too many memories have been spoiled already.

Puppets are certainly animated, so I would recommend that Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons and Thunderbirds be kept away from the magic remake wand.

Thanks to my little sister I will add the Smurfs and one that trumps the Smurfs in my book of hatred is the Snorks.

No offense, but this is sort of a lame thread. I mean, there's decades worth of crappy cartoons that have been shoveled out under the theory "Kids will watch anything." Now I'm supposed to decide whether I have less desire to see a return of Turbo teen or the Mr. T cartoon? They both sucked!

LOL, Turbo Teen...

Mine would be any of the Saturday Supercade shows (Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Q-Bert, etc.).

Can't we get through a single thread without a Luca$ bashing.

We have to wait that long?

I was thinking we should just go ahead and add it now.

Thundercats...

Leave them be. As well as the ones that followed: Tiger Sharks and Silver Hawks.
