Leo is actually doing call for help right now. We get it in Canada because CRTC wouldn't let them broadcast one of their shows up here. So we get call for help with Leo as a replacement.

Huh? We get it because there was a demand for the show here and the Canadian arm of G4TechTV were able to come to terms with Leo to get him in Toronto one week a month. The CRTC has nothing to do with it, AFAIK.

As for the Screen Savers, I PVR'ed them all from the past week, and pretty much fastforwarded every show. There was very little or nothing that I found interesting in any of the shows. I am a PC guy, and not a gamer, so I
think that I might start to skip this show, as they are definitely going the way of the console.

The new show...eh.

The first episode was very bad with all the comments of, "Look how great all the new stuff is." "Aren't we cool?" And all the other self-congratual, mastubatory stuff.

The new set: When they got rid of the old basement set, I didn't like the new set. But I got used to it and even grew to like it. This new set just seems too sterile. Why didn't they just ship the SF set to LA?

The next few episodes this week were better, but not by much. I'm 35 so I don't think I'm in this show's demographic anymore. I really miss Patrick and Leo. Kevin should have been kept in the background on the phones with the occasional segment. And as someone has commented before, you could make a drinking game out of Kevin and Sarah making a reference to the fact that they are dating on every show.

My suggestion for all of you, and myself, is to get over it. And by "get over it", I mean quit watching the show.

I think I'll go watch the dvd of Screensavers' segments that I got with my last Leo's Technology Almanac. Hmmm, I wonder if there will be anymore of those?

I heard the reason we got Call for Help up here was because they couldn't air one of the shows up here... I think it was Anime nation or something like that and they needed to fill a time slot. Anyway... lol we have Leo. It seems like half the callers are American though.

Well just my guess, but the new TSS has the same feel as the rest of the sets of the original g4 shows. So they're probably change the shows name to a one word "mean nothing" soon so the show can be more like a G4 show.

You're 35 and not in the shows demo? I'm 23 and not in the demo since they're pretty much reaching out to "Hipsters" between the ages of Hip and not that much hip left.

Kevin may have also told us quite a bit when he said, "We haven't gotten rid of all of the tech, er, I mean, any of the tech."

So did the lovebirds start going out before they appeared on the show together, or did love bloom afterwards? Just curious...

Did X-play really need Morgan? Not really, anyone could have filled that seat. Hell Adam can handle that by himself. They act too goofy together.
I love how they act so goofy. I think they realise the show sucks and really play it up. Just my opinion though, it's really funny when once in a while, they let slip a comment that is serious and genuine.

Leo has stated many times on his message boards that he and Patrick were not offered contracts with G4, basically because they were too old and not "sexy" enough for the G4 demographic.
Yep, got to have it filled with people pretending to be cool... For all the flack I give Kevin and whatnot, he does know stuff. I look at the G4 hosts on the other shows and they're all a bunch of people who are so obviously clueless about what they're talking about.

I specifically remember Leo spilling the beans about that. I think they met through the show. They were shy to talk about it for maybe a whole week or two.

This show increasingly feels like a high school production.

Did anyone notice the laugh track, or maybe just the amplified laughter of the audience, last night? It was super annoying, but seemed just the thing for the G4 demographic.

finally caught one on my lunch break yesterday. Not impressed at all. The new set is more hi-tech, which is cool, IMO it looks more professional. But on the same hand it kinda clashes with the bafoons they have hosting the show. To expand on what Chew said, it looks as if someone's rich parents put up the money for a set for the local high school public access show.

The set would feel more at home with Leo & Pat.

They haven't really showed it in great detail, but the audience area looks many times bigger than what they used to have. There was one guy who kept 'wooooo'-ing.

While I agree the new host is annoying, as mentioned, the biggest dissapointment about the show is that they really have cut out anything that I find interesting (ie PC stuff). I'll be sticking to CFH, and maybe keep fastforwarding this with the hopes of finding something interesting buried amongst the fluff.

As for the new host, he and Kevin are constantly talking over each other, so that should improve when they get used to each other. And he needs to realize that it is not a sitcom, and he doesn't have to constantly try to bring the funny. It's yet to work.

Tech TV used to be really good. Once they were bought by G4, the downhill slide began. Way too much emphasis on gaming. They need more technology based shows. Anyone remember Cnet TV from about 6 years ago? Used to run on the Sci-Fi channel every sunday morning for an hour. They covered new tech, product reviews, general information, technology news & game stuff. G4TTV DESPERATELY needs something like that. Players, Cheat, Cinematech, Robot Wars & Pulse could vanish off the face of the earth and I don't think anyone would care.

I agree with everyone here, the new host stinks. His voice even grates on my nerves and I'm not normally annoyed by those types of things.

I, too, could have sworn that there is a laugh track filtered in with the studio audience noise. All the laughter and reaction just seems to be way too exaggerated.

Actual tech news/info is definitely being dropped. Up until they moved to LA, the beginning of the show would cover a bit about what was going on. Now they just chit-chat, have cheesy drama effects (like rappelling onto the set)...and generally make asses of themselves.

And, of course, the Dan (ie Foo) 'bullying' has increased. Poor guy, you really have to feel sorry for him even if he is does wear a black jean jacket with an Oasis patch. Seems like anything that goes wrong or is to be made fun of automatically gets a making-fun of Dan jab in too...it's definitely like a bunch of high-schoolers let loose on a studio stage.

Kevin, I did tolerate more with Patrick being around, although personally I don't think I'd get along with either of them. Kevin just comes off now as being really way too full of himself. I think, he got lucky where's he's at, there's thousands of other geeks his age/looks/knowledge etc. that could be in his shoes.

I thought it was hilarious a few months ago when Kevin was wearing a Modest Mouse t-shirt and making fun of Dan's 'meanstream music tastes' of Coldplay/U2/Oasis/etc. Oh yeah, Modest Mouse are really cutting edge! A million albums sold with the their last release and soon to be on the O.C.! Typical Kevin Rose.

This show used to be so good that I kept paying 20+ dollars a month extra for digital cable instead of the basic package which contained all the other channels I watched. Now, I could care less. What a shame when bad management decisions screw a good thing up.

I wish I could get this. I a little bit perturbed that Canada gets it but we don't. I bet G4(is there any reason to even add "Techtv"?) is getting torrents of e-mail wanting this show in the US.

I'm so pathetic, help.

I happened to catch yesterday's show, and they were all wearing Star Trek gear since Uhura was on the show. It was pathetic.

Kevin and Alex remind me of Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon from SNL, who succeed in entertaining themselves moreso than they do the audience.

I turned it on for about 10 minutes today, caught the rerun of the ST ep. How retarded. The ONLY thing remotely decent about this show anymore is Yoshi. But it seems to be they are overusing him now that everyone good is gone.

Watching Burt Monroy(last week) down having to fly to do an episode was kinda funny, even better when they forced him to use a PC to do his photshop magic. He couldn't figure it out. Way to go producers. I don't see him coming back anytime soon either.

Except for a few minutes here and there, I've truly quit watching this show. I've quit recording it on my pvr. It's really kind of sad(or maybe it's just me). This was one of the few shows on television that I truly enjoyed.

I used to watch it on my lunch break everyday. Now I watch Pimp my Ride, or whatever is on Comedy Central. It is sad.
