That was quite an interesting episode. Julia had quite some possible life with Christian. I wonder what Julia is going to do, if anything, to change herself.

I dunno, I thought it was kinda weak, but hopefully it will lead for Julia to do something for herself, and not just try to convince Sean to take her back. If they are meant to be together he will realize it. For a second, I was hoping they would kill Julia off, I think the show would be better without her.

Very good episode.
I liked the return of the old characters from last season. I was hoping Dr. Santiago
would pop up but no luck.
I liked how how she still wound up in the same place in her other life. It looks like they're starting to break Sean down and setting up eventual reunion of the tJulia and him.

It's an interesting idea, but I found some of it to be too on the nose (a criticism I've had for a lot of the episodes I've seen). Next week looks awesome, though.
One question:
I too hope that they move away from Julia for a while. She's easily the most annoying character in the show.

I enjoyed the episode a lot. It really explored how Sean is the glue that keeps the three of them together. I loved the cameos by Jude and Meghan. I also think they're building towards a Sean/Julia reunion, but I'm not sure it'll happen this season.

Fascinating episode last night. Liked Julia's comment to her mom about Herbalife.
The final scene when Julia wakes up from surgery and says to Sean, "It's always been you." Good stuff.

Why does Julia's success suddenly mean her mother is not successful? I don't get that.

Oh, I know her problems with her mother. I just thought the purpose of the dream sequence was to show a possible alternate reality. I guess it was more just fantasy.

I thought it was a great episode with an amazing performance from Joely Richardson. The ending was especially poignant where Julia realizes that after all this time it's been Sean she's wanted, not Christian. Just a shame that she had to go through all that to realize it.
On another note, wtf is up with next weeks episode? I thought I was watching a preview for CSI or NYPD Blue. Hope the episode is better than the preview looks.

Detective Christian Troy, just doesn't have the same ring as Womanizer Christian Troy.
I also enjoyed Matt as a nerd, although with that 5 O'clock shadow I just could never believe him as a dork.

Matt is far and away the most annoying and useless character on the show.Pretty good episode. Glad she finally came to that realization and now she can move on w/ her life.
Famke.

I've actually been starting to think that maybe they should end this show after this season, especially if the creator is leaving to do other things.

This show is still one of the most compelling shows to watch on TV. What I do like is how the writers don't drag out the storylines, but get to the heart of the matter and get issues resolved, even if there are lingering effects of the conflicts and dramatic developments. I liked the way this episode was structured to show why Julia finally comes back to Sean in her head and heart after experiencing that "what if" life with Christian was enough to get her running back to Sean.

Anyone else get All That Jazz flashbacks from this episode?
Excellent show. I didn't like the "dream" at first but everything coming around full circle put it all in perspective and made it an important, pivotal and memorable episode.
I like Julia (because I love Joely Richardson) and I think she may become a much stronger and more interesting character now.

with a different mother... and father.Another amazing episode. I just wish the season wasn't ending in a few weeks.
