Recorder is locked and loaded for this. I hope there is no overlap with the Killin' Them Softly show.

I doubt it. He comes up with new stuff faster than most comedians (in my opinion).

Yeah, when I plugged this into my Tivo there were a bazillion showtimes. It should be no problem to find a showing of this. Chappelle is HOT right now, and Showtime knows it.

I've been looking forward to this for awhile, unfortunately I don't even have Showtime. I hope one of my friends has it, and is available this weekend for me to come over and watch.

Yes, his stand-up is pretty laid back, nothing has changed. Only now there are frat boys yelling "Do Rick James!" randomly during his act.

It's no fun to be a Dave Chappelle fan anymore.

Yeah, exactly. A good portion of when I saw Chappelle live back in May consisted of him yelling at hecklers.

"WHERE'S CHARLIE MURPHY!?!?"
"Charlie Murphy ain't fucking here you bitch!"

This Showtime special was taped in San Fran in June. I saw his Grass Roots tour in June as well.

He barely was onstage an hour. Some hilarious stuff and some really juvenile crap as well. A lot of heckling the audience.

Dave is the flavor of the moment. His standup act has always been decent but never great.

He's much better at sketch comedy.

The exact opposite is true of Chris Rock, who failed at sketch stuff and excelled at live shows.

I'd take Killing Them Softly over any of Rock's live shows.

Did you see NEVER SCARED?... I love Chappelle, been a fan for years, but Chris Rock really raised the bar with his last special... incredibly funny stuff.

Chris Rocks first HBO special was about as funny as it can get. He set the bar way to high on that one.

I saw the show live in may or june and It was one of the funniest damn shows I saw. He had some great impov, fucking with the audience, and It was different from the san fran show. I was only half paying attention to the special but it didn't seem near as funny as the live show was.

I doubt their was any heckling at this show. Surely those were high priced seats. I think most of the heckling comes from the shows he does at college campuses where the shows are often free for students (ie he was at USC a few months ago. Missed it though.)

At the beginning of this show, it says that it was taped in June 2004.

Chris Rock's last show, Never Scared, was horrible. I don't think that I laughed once. His previous specials were great, but the latest was just awful.
