Oh man, that's hilarious. That reminds me of the "You Don't Know Jack" game, where one of the categories is "Martha Stewart is a Hoe"

Columnist Calculates Date of Jennings' 'Jeopardy' Defeat

Based on Internet rumor that Ken Jennings' winning streak on Jeopardy will end after he has won 75 consecutive games and $2.5 million, New York Post columnist Michael Starr has calculated that he'll be knocked off on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Jennings' streak has boosted the show's ratings by more than 20 percent, Starr observed.

Yesterday, Ken was back after the week of kids games. His one opponent was doing pretty well for awhile, hit quite the streak near the end.

Ken, ofcourse, dug deep and wound going into DJ with an untouchable lead. He was the only one to get FJ correct. He is now over the $2 million mark.

Great FJ question yesterday. Of course, Ken nailed it.

A: The brother of this leader is believed to be the first known European to have died in the Americas

Spoiler:
Q: Who is Leif Ericcson?

Anybody watch yesterday? Great match. Ken had about 24K going into FJ. 2nd place had 16K and 3rd had 12K so no runaway and even 3rd was a threat.

3rd got FJ wrong. 2nd got it right, but once again Ken pulled it out and won with something like 35K.

Pretty easy FJ question IMO...

A: With a population of 420,000 this independent nation has the lowest population on the South American (mainland) continent.

Spoiler:
Q: What is Suriname?

Read pilot's spoiler above for the speculation on when it might be, if he in fact has lost.

I think Red Dog should try out for the show, he is the man. (Unless I just suck because I rarely get these questions right!)

I wonder if the ratings will dip if/when Ken's streak ends.

I'm not that good - just very good in certain categories. If the category is literature, music, or the arts, I would struggle. Geography, history, law, politics, sports, and television I am much stronger in.

Is it just me, or did the male opponent on last night's episode seem like he was just plain pissed off to be on the show?

I imagine he was pissed about having to go against Ken. Imagine all the effort you must have to go through to get on the show, only to have to face someone like that. If I wanted to be on the show, I wouldn't even try out till he ends his run.

I had the same thought on that guy. I wonder if he was just frusterated about being on the show against Ken?

He sort of looked like J. Jim Bullock. That would be enough to piss me off.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as I watched the show yesterday. Why bother? Just wait till he's gone, at least you'll have a fair chance. But then again, it would be crazy cool to be known as the One Who Beat Ken.

I didn't see todays yet, but he won yesterday.

they seem to be "stalling" which / when he will actually lose.. the rest of this week, plus next week, is "college week" ..I believe the rumor was he was going to lose
Spoiler:
this week, (today actually)
but maybe they're putting the "college week" on for a while to stall and keep their ratings up ..but I guess we'll see what happens ..he's only up to like 2.3 million or something, the rumor was he
Spoiler:
had 2.5 million
but again I guess we'll have to see what happens..

Ken
Spoiler:
made a comeback and won, but the guy that ended up third would have really been a possibility to win if he had gotten his 10,000 daily double right

why is the college thing starting midweek?

I have a feeling it has to do with Ken's streak coming to an end. According to the rumors, he wins ~$2.5million. Right now, it's close to $2.4 so, averaging $25,000-$30,000 a show, he only has a few shows left most likely, so they probably want to air his final show on a certain day (like the last day of November sweeps probably), and starting the College Tourney on a Wednesday would accomplish that. Purely speculation on my part.

Spoiler:
I have a hard time believing that since during the show today Alex talked about the two week break for the winner of today's show because of the college tourney. At that point they had no idea when, or if Ken Jeopardy would lose. It was mentioned at the top of the show, and I think again at another point.

Those were some very formidable opponents yesterday. Had that one guy hit the daily double in DJ, he very well could have beaten Ken. Very hard questions too.
