He already has his money from last season correct? Does he get the money in one nice lump sum?

Close game. I like the way that the players are making them "true daily doubles" and betting the wad in Final Jepardy.

Looks like Ken needs to find his groove again. It wasn't till the end of Double Jepardy that he was buzzing in on every question.

And I laughed during Final Jepardy, Ken was shifting his body back and forth while thinking, and it looked like he was trying to peak at his neighbour's answer.

What amazes me is that by now, Ken's opponents must know who he is and how difficult he is to beat. That's got to be more intimidating as an opponent when you know how good he is.

Like i've been saying for a long time now, they should make an all sports theme for Jeopardy one day, and then this guy will lose, his sports knowledge is weak.

I also wondered if he wanted to be there anymore. But, Holy Gee, wouldn't you want to stick around as long as you could at a place where you can make $40,000.00 or so every 30 minutes? He may be cracking under the pressure, but if I were him, I would figure out a way to pull it together, because this is the best thing that will ever happen to him.

What if the Meredith comment on the View was just a way to get people to watch? Ratings may be slipping a bit because people may be getting annoyed by Ken, or they just think he will win so what's the big deal if they miss a few episodes here or there? Rumors about him losing flew around last year too, and he's still hanging around. Maybe somebody planted the rumor in Meredith's ear to get her to say something on TV to generate interest, not to actually spoil what might happen in the show soon?

Tonight's Category: Historic Mediums

Question: In the '20s, the alleged spirit powers of Margery caused a rift between these two men, a magician and a writer.

Answer: Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Spoiler:
Laura: $3,200; answered Houdini and Hemmingway; -$3,000 = $200

Adam: $8,800; answered Houdini and (blank); - $0 = $8,800

Ken: $33,600; answered Houdini and F Scott Fitzgerald; -$6,400 = $27,200

Ken is now just under $1.4M and has been there 42 days.

Didn't any of these people see Fairy Tale: A True Story? (with Harvey Keithel as Harry Houdini.

He already has his money from last season correct?
Not necessarily. I was listening to a local morning radio program this morning, and they had one of the local TV meteorologists (who was a contestant on the NBC version of Weakest Link during its run) on, discussing Ken. He made a point that, at least when he was on WL a few years ago, a show's producers had up to 60 days after your episodes air to pay you - meaning J! has up to 60 days after the airing of Ken's last episode before they legally have to give him a dime of his winnings. That's just from one "source," so don't take it to be the final word on the matter, but rather just an FYI.

There is another interesting tidbit that he shared - that surprised me. Here in CT, during Ken's run, Jeopardy! has been, locally, the highest-rated show, period! Not just for its time slot, but it has been the highest-rated show for daytime, afternoon, evening, primetime, late night, news shows, etc. - out of all the shows that aired on the CT stations, it has been the highest-rated (granted, most of his run was during the summer TV doldrums, but still). I think that's probably accurate since the meteorologist works for the local ABC affiliate, which airs the show - so he would probably be privy to that info.

It's going to be hard to avoid the spoiler, I've seen it on several news sites already. I think he might lose on purpose, 75th game seems like a nice, solid number to leave on. Maybe his winnings are at a nice number as well.

Spoiler:
According to the Hollywood Morning Report, for the fourth day in a row, Ken misses the Final Jeopardy Question, but still wins with over $20k and brings his total to 43 days and over $1.4M.
