In no particular order:
1) Batman: The Animated Series. A classic and the ultimate superhero animated show..
2) Futurama. Killed too early by the geniouses at Fox.
3) X-Men: Evolution. Again, another show that was canned too early. I would have loved to see them introduce more characters, or even jump ahead and show the team several years in the future.
4) He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The 2002 comeback only lasted 2 short seasons due to Mattel's botching of the toyline. I was left hanging with many unanswered questions, as the series was just starting to introduce Hordak and the Evil Horde. Seeing this series canned was like stabbing me in the heart.
5) Spider-Man. No, not the 90s one. The 2003 computer animated one. I know many of you disliked it, but I thought it was a fresh retelling of the Spider-Man story. I'd settle for 6 new episodes a year.
6) Batman Beyond. I must be a sucker for the expanded universe/retelling of characters, because I thought this show was excellent. There were so many possibilities, with the storyline being set in the future.
7) Thundercats. I'd settle for reruns of this. Cartoon Network used to air them, but it has been ages since I've seen it. This series would be perfect to reintroduce in this day and age. Why it hasn't been done yet is beyond me.
8) Silverhawks. Essentially the space-version of Thundercats. Bring it back!
9) Transformers. A kickass Transformers, that is. None of this Beast Wars or Armada crap. Or maybe I just need to go out and pick up the DVDs of the classic series...
10) Clerks. For the love of God, Kevin Smith, find a way to get the Clerks cartoon back on the airwaves! Let me get my Dante, Randall, Jay & Silent Bob fix in all of its animated goodness! Leonardo Leonardo was the man.

I love a lot of toons but for the most part I would just be happy to have the DVDs of those shows or reruns.

X-Men. The 90s one. Evolution is terrible.
Original Transformers. Beast Wars and such are ok, but still not even close to the original.
Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Krang rules.
Batman Beyond. Awesome take on Batman.
Don't care much for Futurama...

the thing is that if any cancelled cartoon were to return, it wouldn't have the same magic as the original. so, I think it's better to say, which cancelled or ended animated series would you wish they had made more episodes of?

DVD Talk Hero
Dungeons and Dragons
Thundercats
Batman Beyond
M.A.S.K.
GI Joe
And of course, Bravestarr...I think the country is ready for the return of a animal-possessed cowboy and his talking horse.

I love x-men. I would be happy with just the Dvd set.

I loved Rocko's Modern Life too. What a surreal show. Also loved Invader Zim
I was reading an article about that new show "Father of the Pride" and they had a blurb about failing cartoons in Primetime:
Clerks
Network: ABC
Premeire: May 31, 2000
Status: Ended June 7, 2000
No wonder I missed it in those pre-TIVO years!
I think Batman TAS ran it's course, and I'd wish for more Superman TAS, but I'm satisfied with Justice League.
I loved all those 80's cartoons as a kid, but watching them today, it's more nostalgia then quality. Not to mention that most of them were designed to sell toys, and any series bringing these properties back would have to start from scratch, much like the newer He man series. Still surprised that no one's mentioned GI Joe, though.
My top pick, like many here, would be Futurama.
