The Amazing Race - 8/24/04
From the CBS website
I voted Colin and Christie, but I wish I had voted for the twins.
They have been teetering ever so close to last that this week I think they will be the ones. I doubt there is an elimination here though. I also wish that someone would come to the yield and use it. |
Brandon & Nicole - please let them go, please.
I think Brandon and Nicole won't make it, he's a whiny beyotch
The stress of travel leads one Team member to say to the other, "I want a different relationship." Speaking of the twins, that's who I think will come in last. Colin will bust out of jail and manage to beat them across the line as they try to figure out once and for all what a "scarab" is. |
I hope Colin and his stuck up hobag go. Actually I hope Colin does something stupid , as he usually does, and ends up in a fight with the police and has to spend the remainder of the race in jail! HA that would be the perfect ending for these idiots!

Please please please please please please please please let Christie kick Colin's ass to the curb.
I voted for the twins, they're such whiny coat tail riders.
Man I just started watching the 1st season, I had missed most of it the 1st go around, phil looks really young, and Frank who I liked in the latter stages was an ass.
My vote is either for the twins or C & C.
Though I think this will be a non elim round. Shouldn't that be one of the choices? |
Of the choices, I'm saying the twins. But, I'm really voting for a non-elim round this time.
The question is "who will come in last". It's fairly obvious this will be a non-elim round. I vote the Bowling Moms. Could it be that Linda and Karen will be saved by another non-elimination point?
I boldly predict a non-elimination round where the Bowling Moms come in last.

I voted for the wonder twins but don't know how long Colin's brush with the law will take. Although I too believe it will be non-elimination round.
Will Phil play the role of the Robber Baron again? If so: yay!
I voted for the twins to go next.
I am now rooting for Chip&Kim and the Bowling Moms as they are now the only likable teams left in the race! |
Moms will come in last in a non-elim leg.
I say the twins. I'd like to see them without money and whining for it in the next episode.
I'm in agreement with most here that it'll either be the twins or bowling moms. They seemed spent during the last episode, hanging off the coattails of other teams at the airport. But yeah I also think it'll be a non-elim stage.

Hopefully Colin gets thrown in jail, he needs some cooling off time.
7 more hours on the left coast.
I am enjoying watching the 1st season for the 1st time.... |

I saved them.
send me an e-mail and I'll let you know. rhalton at gmail dot com |
I'm rooting for Chip and Kim now, and I think Kami and Karli will come in last. And it's also pretty obvious that Colin will not be going to jail.
The thread has been kinda dead this week. 10 minutes till showtime!
rotfl
Colin is such a stubborn shit. He makes for great drama. Chip is the ultimate role model. He's even rubbing off on Brandon, as Nicole is becoming more of a bitch. |
Wow, Colin should have been on that bus Brandon and co. were on last week. I can't believe anyone could be as stupid when dealing with Nigerian (Or wherever the hell they are) police. If he enjoys his life, he better stay in the US for the rest of his life. He'll be lucky to make it out of the Race alive at this point.
They are in Tanzania trying to get to Kenya, then on to Dubai.
I would of did the same thing Colin did!
I would have tried that for about five minutes, but you don't exactly want to go to the jail to argue a case in a jail when you are a first-world foreigner in the third world. And Christie should not have apologized to him later on for arguing w/ him - she needs some backbone.
I knew it would be a non-elimination leg. Oh well, Brandon and Nicole will lose next time, if Colin's head doesn't explode.
Yeah while Colin had a right to be pissed (about the tire, not about getting there in 4th), that wasn't the time to argue it, especially as he wasn't paying any more than anyone else. I guess he figured, "I've got some spare time, might as well take up my beef and try to save $50." He shouldn't have taken that anger out on Christie either--she needs to stand up to him. At least the guy finally looked like he was having some fun during the off-roading.
I was pretty sure it was a non-elim leg, but still it was worrying that Chip and Kim almost lost. Looks like most of our predictions came true about the bowling moms and twins. Wonder how they're going to get some cash. And is it just me, or did Team Jesus go one episode without making a reference to how God wants them to win the race? |
Colin is such a tool. I wish they could switch partners and put him with Nicole. They wouldn't make it out of the pit stop they'd be fighting so much.
Good to see the Twins stick to their plan on thinking things through at the airport:lol: |

I knew it was a non-elimination leg at the top of the show tonight. I've figured out the key. If Phil says "who will be eliminated next?" in the little promo instead of "who will be eliminated tonight?", it's a non-elimination leg. It's worked out that way in all shows this year.
Grrrrrrrrr! I have not been able to stomach Colin's arrogance or his holier-than-thou attitude towards everybody since the first episode. Sure it has helped his girlfriend and him throughout and although I'm wishing it would backfire somehow, I don't see it happening any time soon. What has really annoyed me is his "I'm American, I'm in a race, and I can do whatever I want in your country" mentality. Geez louise.
Next week's teaser looks more interesting concerning the team that is going take the "fast forward." |
The Fast Foward next week should be good. Who's it going to be...
Now that Mirna and Charla are gone, Colin really neads to find someone to take his anger out on besides Christie. I can't believe she apologized to him. While Colin is obviously an arrogant jerk, he seems to treat the other racers decently and is keen on playing the game, so I wouldn't be too upset if he wins. I'm still rooting for Chip and Kim, though ....
