Current or all time? My vote goes to General Hospital. I started watching the show back in the early 80s when Luke and Laura were the hottest thing going. Twenty-something years later and I'm still hooked on it.

I used to like the NBC slate in the late 80's, early 90's, most especially Days of Our Lives and Santa Barbara.
These days, I like the three ABC shows, especially All My Children and General Hospital.
Having SoapNet and the ability to watch at odd hours is a big help.

Don't watch any regularly, but back in the early 80's it was AMC and GH.
I went to high school with Tad Martin (Michael Knight - also of "Date with an Angel" infamy!)
What a nice career he has had on AMC. Must be pushing 25 years!!!

I assume this means daytime only.
I was addicted to Guiding Light my senior year of college - made sure I didn't have a 3 pm class. I watched it religiously from the summer of '92 until 1994.
I also used to watch Bold & Beautiful back then - so much eye candy on that one. Hunter Tylo - definitely on my top-10 most attractive women of all-time list.

I used to be hooked on General Hospital in the late 80's/early 90's.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were the coolest spies on TV for a space of about seven or eight years there.
Since then, the show has gone downhill...just another boring soap now.

I watched Days of Our Lives and General Hospital in the late 80's and early 90's, haven't watched an ep since.
Nighttime soaps - still watch Dynasty, The Colby's, Dallas, 90210 and Melrose Place every now and then - watched them originally in the late 80's, early 90's.
New nighttime soap - love The O.C.

I used to watch All My Children and General Hospital. I would spend the summers with my Grandparents when I was a little kid and they watched them religiously. I still remember the shock of poor Jenny Martin (Kim Delaney) dying on AMC.
I loved the period where someone else mentioned that GH had Robert Scorpio and Anna. That was great stuff.
I haven't watched either soap in years. Sometimes I will flip by them, but I rarely know the character that is one screen. I am too scared to watch more for fear of getting hooked once again!

This thread brings back memories
One of my girlfriends in the early 90's used to watch Days of our Lives, so I would watch it with her, confused and asking all sorts of questions at first
I remember John Black (with his deep serious voice), Marleena and Stefano (?) There was also Bo (dude with a beard) and ugh my memory is bad!

I absolutely LOVE Y&R and tape it everyday, along with Bold & the Beautiful. I started watching Y&R well over 20 years ago when I was learning to play the theme song on the piano. Victor and Nikki married for the first time, then Ashley came around and spoiled that for a time.....oh the memories! haha What's great about this soap is that they have so many of the same characters on the show today and it's still #1.
I used to watch Days when I was in high school and once in awhile I see bits on SoapNet. Boy, Hope looks anorexic!!!!

I used to watch Guiding Light but lost interest a couple of years ago (when they changed the actress who plays Michelle)

I used to plan my schedule in college around Days and Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach had some great eye candy, it brought us Susan Ward
Days has to be one of the worst written soaps on TV. I think they were still doing the same storylines when I graduated that they were when I started 4 years earlier.

Anybody remember "Texas" and "Capital" from the early 80's??
The first one was a spin off of Another World if I recall.. I use to watch that one too..The whole Mac/Rachel relationship.
I also remember the actress who played Mac's daughter Iris: Beverly Mckinsey. She had a great english accent
That's the period when Ray Liotta was on the show too

I watched "The Bold and the Beautiful" daily for about 18 years straight. But I got disgusted with the storyline about 4 months ago. Although I still record it daily, unless the day's synopsis is interesting, I just erase it. Too much focus on the younger and newer characters.
I think the final straw was when they had the wonderful reunion of back-from-the-dead Macy and Thorne, and then blew it by having him sleep with Darla in a misunderstanding. Macy then became utterfly dislikable with Deacon, then had something fall on her head and put her in a coma, which prompted Bobbie Eakes to leave the show.
Actually, the start of the steep decline was the introduction of Massimo Maroni. The revelation that he was Ridge's biological father destroyed the entire backbone of the show, which was the strong, but troubled Forrester family unit.
