Stargate SG1 8/20
Teal'c is officially Worf now
"If you hurt her again, I will kill you where you stand"
his neighbor was hot
he should forget the staff weapon on missions and just take a bag of rocks

Over on the stargate fan board this episode is getting skewered. You'd think they'd be happy about Sam getting engaged, but it's like they just found out the earth isn't flat.
I liked this ep. I think it's one of the best in the season and it shows that the characters don't need to go offworld to be interesting.

Heard over on the fan board...
"How could Sam do this, now I don't have a chance! I thought at least General O'Neil would get her...man I need a life."

I must admit, I like the episodes where Teal'c and his life are sort of the main themes. I also really liked the season 6 episode "The Changeling", which if I remember correctly, Christopher Judge wrote.

while it's cool to see teal'c out doing stuff, they're supposed to be going to other planets and stuff, something they haven't done much this season (other than the alien planet using completely unmodified Earth firearms, mostly WW2 stuff except for the Ak47s)

Yeah, it looks like scifi cut there budget a bunch. But at least they havent started reusing shots every episode. You'd think that SciFi would pump more money into SG-1 and Atlantis(which actually looks cheaper than SG-1). Go figure, The SciFi channel is making dumb decisions....again.

score (the actress being hired for smallville)
I actually don't mind Carter being in a relationship. all the fanboys that wanted her to hook up with jack need to grasp the fact that even though this is fiction, and they don't always follow military procedure as close as they should I don't think the writers would blow off that regulation

Although the episode was a bit boring to me, at least it ended in a more classic Stargate fashion: it left you with plenty of questions. Who were the group that took Daniel? What were they after? When they left, did they use Goa'uld tech or Asgard? They didn't show it, but it "sounded" more Asgard.

Definately left questions... Where did they get what they wanted Daniel to translate? And how were they able to find out that he was correct so quickly?
Interesting...

And if it's Asgard tech for the transporter, why did they have Goa'uld zat guns? If they stole everything, I can't believe they were able to get Asgard tech just lying around. I don't see them that careless.
It is "zat", right?

zat's are a great weapon though, and since I don't think we've seen an asgard weapon that's similar in being able to stun or kill or disentigrate, it makes sense to use them
