Need help finding a name of a show
I remember watching this comedy special as a kid either on HBO or Showtime. I can't remember exactly, but it was probably late 80s, maybe early 90s.
It was centered around the comedian and the stage was made up to look like his apartment. It was going through his trying to write a book/resume/something.
His prop was an old typewriter and everytime he'd start to write, he'd get distracted and start druming on things. I remember he also drank a lot of Jolt.
It was pretty funny, and I'd love to see if I could find it again to watch.
Thanks in advance.

The show was "Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center" and it aired originally on Showtime around 1990-1991.
It was truly hysterical. I wore out my tape.
Steve had a show that ran briefly on PBS around the summer of '93. It had a soundtrack CD that had some of the songs from the special that I still have.

Thanks.. that was it..
Now that you typed the name, I remember him chanting "Banks.. Banks.. Banks.." when he was doing one of his druming solo bits.

Rock and roll will never die, but rock and rollers do
I don't know the reason why, I just know it's true
Rock and roll is here to stay, but rock and rollers pass away!!
Loved all of the songs on this show, but had a morbid fascination with this one.
