Obviously, the business must go on (that's the show ), and realistically, I think Sean can be more forgiving of Christian (since he just found out too and never had an inkling that Matt could be his) than he can be with Julia

I think that Christian suspected he might be Matt's father earlier. A few weeks ago, when Famke Jansen's character threatened him that she'd tell Sean about Matt, he reacted with "Julia couldn't have told you..." as opposed to something like "Matt's my son?!?!"

I really didn't care for the stigmata portion of this show. But I am glad that Sean finally found out the truth. The scenes between Sean/Julia and Sean/Christian were fantastic. I didn't partiularly care for the Liz subplot either.
Sean grabbing Julia by the throat and telling her she was weak was awesome and then his repeated punches to Christian's face was great. The clincher during that scene was the look of anguish on Christian's face because he obviously knew what it was about.

Julian McMahon is a phenomenal actor. His range is ridiculous.

Wow! I just got around to watching this episode. About half way through I was ready to ask if this is the episode that Nip/Tuck "jumped the shark". I didn't care for the whole stigmata theme, but then Julia tells Sean - intense! What a great scene, I watched it several times.
Can't wait to watch the next ep. now.
Then Sean beats Christian down and tells him that he loved him the most. Christian, as someone else mentioned above, knew what it was about. The look on his face said it all.

as someone who is late to this show, i spent last week watching S1 on dvd and since then catching up on this season on tivo. this was a great hour. i had watched the first few episodes of this season before i started S1, which was a mistake. going back and watching S1 was so helpful in getting the most out of this. to see sean finally let his guard down after such a wrenching revalation was great. the final scene in the church with him struggling to find something to hold onto was fantastic.
