I watched it (for the first time). It wasn't too funny or anything, but watchable. The old guys were the best part.

If they are going to try to "rattle people's cages" as you say, they should probably try to pick more current topics. Unless this was made 2 years ago. Whats next Michael Jackson? Monica Lewinsky?

Saw the episode and it was okay: not quite as funny as the Garden Party ep but watchable. Did enjoy watching an animated Cornell West drop kick the another protester.

This show was MUCH funnier than the first ep. Loved it when they showed the videotape in court..

Wasn't that impressed with the first ep, but this one brought the funny. It really captured some of the craziness happening in our culture today.

I liked this episod emuch better than the first one, which I found rather boring. My husband and I were rolling with laughter during the peeing video.

The show is even better than current, seeing as the real R. Kelly trial hasn't even started yet.

I'm just saying Chappelle's Show was doing jokes on R. Kelly's pee video back at the start of 2003. Its not even in the news anymore.

The Boondocks: Guess Hoe's Coming to Dinner 11/20/05

Third episode of "The Boondocks"

Funny! Granddad got some! Not only did he get some, he got a fine piece too. One comment though, I didn't know that Granddad was so rich.

The Boondocks: Granddad's Fight 11/27/05

I guess not many are watching this show huh?

I found this one pretty damn funny. Just how the heck does an old BLIND man get a license to drive?? Granddad is seriously conditioned! I mean, he can kick a solid tree with his shin and still be okay.

This is show is hilarious I've fallen in love with it. I haven't watched it on Cartoon Network in a minute though you can download the episodes because they stream them early from Adultswim.com

Great show

Boondocks Theme Song?

I couldn't find this anywhere and I'm also not sure if this should be here or in the Music Talk forum, but anyway...

Does anyone know who sings the theme song for The Boondocks? Was it written for the show? Can I download it somewhere (from a pay site or a legal free one)?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did a Google search on the first line of the lyrics and found this:

http://boards.sonypictures.com/board...p/t-18125.html

In case the link doesn't work, the artist's name is Asheru, and it seems that it was written specifically for the show, since Aaron Mcgruder has a writing credit. Haven't found a legal download yet.

Cool. Thanks. Wish it was longer. Sounds like it would make a good song.

Hmm....interesting. I never even noticed that. And, Asheru (from Unspoken Heard) is a local artist, too.

I like the theme. And the Martin Luther King Jr. episode last night was nothing short of brilliant.

It was fucking brilliant. </bono>

I haven't followed cartoons since Futurama and this is a really good show to see now.

I agree. I love this show. Have yet to miss an episode. And yes, the MLK episode was brilliant.

The Boondocks — Season 2 Thread (2007-2008)

<right></right>

I don't think individual episode threads would get a lot of love here but hopefully we can discuss the series and episodes here.

New episodes run on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at 11:30PM on Mondays, with that episode re-airing Saturday at 11:30PM and 3:00AM on Sunday morning (late Sat. night).

Alternatively, the week's episode can be accessed at:

http://www.adultswim.com/video/index.html
