I can't remember if Wilbon said Tony would be back today or not. Guess it depends on how far away the college is.

I can usually only take Stephan A. in small doses but when he said he thought Sisler was a restuarant I thought that was classic.

I thought he genuinely enjoyed being on the set with Wilbon. With Bayless he seemed more confrontational, which got old pretty quickly.

I didn't miss Tony as much as I thought I would when the program opened with Wilbon's usual "Hey Tony..." -- and they cut to SAS. That was a shocker after only one day of the regulars being there!

For the one or two of you who can't get enough of Skip Bayless now that he's not on PTI everyday, he'll be writing a Page 2 column on ESPN.com regularly.

EDIT:
I've been informed that the two people who actually like Skip Bayless have ended themselves. Please disregard this message.

Here's a novel idea: host your own damn show every now and then! Sheesh. This substitution thing is getting really old.

It's August (well September now), Tony and Wilbon always pretty much disappear in August...plus this year was an exceptional situation with Wilbon covering the Olympics...he wasn't actually on vacation, he was away, doing his day job.

After two days of Kornheiser and Wilbon back together I now know why I love this show. I hate to say it but PTI is pure crap with those two.

They just better be glad the two of them decided to work together and not anyone else.

I hope you meant to say "PTI is pure crap without those two" because I felt the same way this week. Watching them together again is really fun.

Luckily Kornheiser isn't doing Dream Job this year so we should have them both on the show for awhile.

I've caught Cold Pizza the last couple of mornings, and what was a harmless show not worth paying attention to or avoiding is now a terrible piece of shit. Who are the people out there who want to listen to Woody Paige and Skip Bayless argue all morning? Bayless must have some good dirt on someone high up, because he keeps getting work despite not knowing dick about sports.

I'm just glad they brought the trampoline bear back last week.

I love when they interview Primetime. You may love him or hate him, but Deion is one of the very very few athletes who makes for an entertaining (Good 5 Minute) interview.

Bumping this back up to ask-

WTF is with the people in charge of programming at ESPN?!

They give PTI Thurs(day after game 7 of the ALCS) and Fri(day after game 7 of the NLCS) off so they can air some minor, who-cares golf tournament?

They couldn't just move them to the duce? I know they'll still talk about them(Sox/Yankees, Cards/Stros) on Monday, but still, what gives?

I was thinking the same thing. I got home yesterday all set to hear them talk about the Saux making baseball history, and my TiVo cupboard was bare! Totally forgot about the golf BS.

They may have some contractual obligations with the PGA or whomever to show the tournament on the Mother Ship. But what's the problem with putting PTI on the Deuce? And this of all weeks!!!! Idiots.

another vote for "what the hell is going on at ESPN?" the two days that were almost essential for PTI and there is nothing but goff. how are they going to have time to fit everything in on monday? they have nfl, world series games 1 and 2, plus ALCS and NLCS. jeez.
