The spouses that are traded get to decide how the family spend their $50k after they went back to their original family.

Yep.

As far as the show, I can already tell how this will be spun:

"Rich bitch white woman antagonizes a poor black family, while the black mother is awestruck by the decadence of the wealthy family."

I'm sure it was edited for exactly that effect regardless of actual events. Reality show indeed!

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I enjoyed the show. Completely stereotypical, yes, but still enjoyable.

I don't think there was much editing needed because of who they picked. I am sure FOX actively looked for a real stuck up bitch white lady and a real salt of the Earth black woman.

I liked this show! the nice thing is that it is over in 2 episodes

They are not going to drag it out. Then I think they do another family for 2 episodes .

Is this correct?

that white chick tried so hard not to be racist (or stupid) and failed.

i bet she came back and to her friends was like "youll never guess what i saw today! black people! and they were pretty nice!"

also was she making up words..."positivism"? (i think that was one of them)

I also liked her new "husband." In keeping the Chappelle show theme (which this show did very nicely) he really reminded me of the actor that plays Ashy Larry and had the silent fed-up thing down pat.

I only saw the last few minutes of this show but they were enough.

He even said almost the exact same thing that Dave's character said in the skit, "Regardless of our backgrounds we all want the same things: to right by our kids, etc...)

i KNOW the producers can edit the show to make certain people look bad or good but sometimes i really dont think they have to.

that white chick looks so horribly ignorant, racist, lazy, stuck up, and just plain spoiled. props to the husband (both of them!) for putting up with her.

positivism? wtf is that? talking about how positive and open minded she is? when she sat around complaining and demanding for food, i wanted to slap her. get your lazy ass up and cook!

I'm just wondering when Dave Chappelle's gonna sue Fox for stealing his idea...

It cracked me up how self-centered the white woman was, but then she'd tell the others how to behave. You can't watch tv, but I can. I won't get out of bed in the morning, but you have to rake the yard. She just came off looking so bad. While the black woman was really nice and down-to-earth. I love that she gave all the money to the mother in law - because cleary she was the one doing all the work with the house and kids rather than the mom.
