Family Plots on A&E. Anybody watch?
Has anyone else seen this show?
It is a reality "Six Feet Under" type show where a camera follows a family and a few others as they run a funeral home. The show is based on personal encounters between the family and professional encounters with families of the dead. These two don't seem like the perfect counter for each other, yet it works in some odd way.
It is extremely moving and comical (as the disclaimer says at the beginning of the show).
I almost wept as two Mormon daughters dressed their mother for her family and friend viewing, yet I laughed out loud at the father five minutes later as he was describing something to his daughters.

I've seen all the episodes and I find that I love some parts, like some parts, and am bored by others. The one I watched yesterday with the old guy and his underpants was funny, the scene with the two women you described made me tear up, some other scenes with people talking about their relatives make me laugh or cry. Then some of the story-lines are totally not interesting to me. I'm still watching it, but I thought I'd like it a lot, not just a little.

I really enjoy the show, although I am a couple weeks behind. I think it's a funny show, and an interesting premise. However, I do think it does get a bit boring at times.
It keeps my attention enough to keep watching.
