I will say this: I'm loooooving the background music. Happy Mondays, Run-DMC, Jesus Jones, TMBG, Soup Dragons, Teenage Fanclub, Matthew Sweet, Cypress Hill, Primus, Beastie Boys, etc.
I feel like one of those aging hippies pining for the days when music was good.
And Susan Powter - Eeeeeewwwwwwwww!

They leave out a ton of good stuff....sometimes it just seems like they include pop culture things that are easy to mock. They devote an entire 5 or so minutes discussing the relevance of slap bracelets, but don't even mention Macauley Culkin or Home Alone. He was one of the biggest child stars ever and the film one of the most successful (and funny) family comedies. Same with '91....Gerardo is relevant but not a thing on Terminator 2?
I spent my years 8-18 during the 90s, so I have a lot of great memories of the decade (especially the first half). I loved the majority of previous 3 series. I'm not bashing this new series, but they really do skim over the years. And no, I don't mean they should talk in depth about the Gulf War or anything political....I know this is VH1 and it's a pop culture show. But weren't there more memorable things from 90-91 to discuss than Michael Bolton's hair? Then again, I guess the previous series skimmed over a ton, too, so I'll just quit whining now
I did love when Trey Parker made fun of Eddie Vedder
Just the facial expressions had me cracking up. Nice to see Jaleel White again, too.

I'm sure the source material is another factor. Why should MTV bother feeding Beavis and butthead to VH1.. though they did have Real World 1 on the show. hmmm. perhaps time will tell. I spent age 10-20 in this decade so I also have a lot of memories of the times and I feel they are covering it pretty damn good so far.

incidentally, I noticed a few things in the program descriptions for each show that didn;t get talked about. For example, the guide on my ReplayTV mentioned George Michael's "Freedom '90" in the description of the 1990 show, and Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and T2: Judgement Day in the 1991 description, none of which were talked about in their respective shows. Very odd.

I really enjoyed I Love the 80's and thought I love the 70's was ok, but I haven't found I love the 90's to be funny at all. I think I chuckled like twice.
It just doesn't seem like they have a diverse enough group of people to comment on stuff this go round. I know Mike Black, Hal Sparks, and Mo Rocca are the main dudes but they could spread the wealth a little better. Also while 80's and 70's talked about things both good and bad, 90's seems to be focusing only on the mockable. Maybe it will get better.
And yes, Monnie Love has got to go.

Really? I think this is a more diverse group actually. I see Greg Grunberg from Alias, Dom Monaghan from LOTR, some NFL players, Kerr Smith from Dawson's Creek was on for a bit, Ian Ziering and some others that I can't remember right now.

I know I'm tired of seeing that stupid dancing baby. I laughed yesterday when they had that guy from 'boys in the hood' shooting people in other segments.
