I'd be willing to bet that this show was part of the contract renewal negotiations for Nick and Jessica's show. While I'm not sure who manages Jessica and Nick's careers, her parents seem to be around an awful lot, leading me to believe that Ashlee's show was a merely contract stipulation for getting the "Newleyweds" back for a couple more years...because let's face...it's not a coincidence that the less attractive, less vocally talented (did you see her singing during spring break? I almost felt sorry for her) sister of the star of the hottest show on the network now has her own show too.

If I ever happen to stumble upon this show, I immediately flip it off like its the plague. I just have to draw a line with this garbage.

Jessica and Ashlee are both managed by her father and Nick is managed by Brittney Spears' manager Larry Rudolph. I remember the episode when Nick is on the phone with him complaining about the video shoot for his single, and Nick was at the Britney/Madonna music video behind the scenes.

I think the dark hair was a bad idea.
She's desperately trying to get away from her sister's image. I think she should try to ride that train as long as she could.

I love the dark hair. Never went for Jessica too much. I mean she's hot and all, but she was never near the top of the list for me. Now, Ashlee ain't exactly near the top of that list either, but I definitely like her more than her sister. You know what they say, different strokes.
