Should someone make a separate thread to discuss what a tool this guy was?*

*really, what a tool he comes off as -- y'know that reality editing.

WOW. I wonder if it was a suicide or an accidental overdose or something. Weird cause it feels like I knew him personally from watching the show.

Holy shit! No signs of foul play, eh? Suicide? I could even see a heart attack taking this guy, as stressed and overworked he seemed on the show. Dang.

My sister thinks Wayne did it.

But seriously - that's awful. I hope they keep airing the show.

Yeah, it's sad news. Despite how annoying he was on the show, he was one of the better parts of it.

I noticed that Green Valley Ranch has already taken his bio off their website. His picture is still on the footer, though.

Time for wild speculation.
In the how and why guessing pool, I'll take

Suicide
Overdose of prescription drugs
Immediately after being rejected by Ninya after working up the courage to ask her on a date.

Wow - I watch this show because I watch anything that has to do with Las Vegas. Too young and too rich to die.

LAS VEGAS -- As reported by the Buffalo News: "Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the death of Amherst native Michael Tata - one of the prominent players in the Discovery Channel reality series "American Casino" - who died Tuesday in his home in Henderson, Nev., a suburb of Las Vegas.

"An autopsy performed Wednesday failed to uncover the cause of death, but a Henderson Police Department spokesman said there was no evidence of foul play.

"...Coroner P. Michael Murphy of the Clark County coroner's office said toxicology tests are being done to detect legal and illegal substances as well as forensic tests for any undetected illnesses, diseases and infections. The test results are expected in two to four weeks, he said..."

It is believed that Tata, 33, may have suffered a heart attack, a source said.
Called it.

My brother-in-law was just talking about this and he said he just watched the episode that revolved around the UFC and that Tata wasn't in it anywhere. He's wondering if they edited him out, because they spent a lot of time covering stuff they normally wouldn't have and stayed away from stuff they normally cover in an ep. Coincidence?

Not sure B.A. I found it odd, they didn't even have one of those:

In memory of blurbs at the end or anything..

Guess they're going to try to act like nothing happened.

That's true - didn't even think about that. Ninya was only on for a minute to greet one of the high rollers.

Frankly, the amount of time spent on the UFC stuff was strange considering that it took place at Mandalay Bay.

He noticed both of those things and just thought it was very weird.

I asked him if he was still in the opening credits, but he couldn't remember 'cause he just zips through them w/ the Tivo.

The reason why they focused so much on the UFC is because the owners of GVR own the UFC.

Yeah I caught that and wondered why they didn't stage the event at GVR. I guess they just don't have an appropriate venue for it.

Well, that might explain it. I still smell cover-up though.

It still may have been caused by a self induced overdose of prescription medication.

Could be possible that they would make a lot more money from a different venue?
