24: I've created a monster!

So I'm always trying to convince my wife to try new things,*and convinced her that we should buy 24 Season 1, which neither of us had seen. Based on the buzz the show got, though, I figured it would be enjoybale. So we picked it up last Friday and opened the shrink wrap on Sunday night.

My God, but that show has hooked my wife. We watched a couple of episodes Sunday and about half a dozen on Monday. Tuesday I had to work, then we went out with friends after work. My wife wanted to blow the friends off to watch more 24. Instead, when we got home at 10:30, we watched another episode. This morning, she asked me to skip work so we could watch more. She says the show is like crack on DVD.

It's a great show. We're up to 10:00 a.m. and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I don't find it as addictive as I find Buffy on DVD, though.

* On DVD, you perv.**

** Not porn. Sheesh.

Got both seasons on a blind buy also but season one is my fav. It is pretty addicitve. Some times, I just watched two a day, other times up to four.

Enjoy! Some big twists coming.

Yep, the FIRST time I watched it on dvd, it was a blind buy for me as well. I can't remember only watching one. One night the wife was at work at put in a 9 ep. marathon! That led up to ep.20 and I really didn't want to stop, but damn, 9 eps. is a long time to be sitting on the couch. Had to go to bed.

The friends are actually gay, so they would have been more interested in me than my wife anyway. And nothing happened between us!

Was I the only one, by reading the thread title alone, who thought this was a sneak peek of 24's upcoming lame season 4 plot?

I bought S1 blind too and was immediately hooked. I put off watching the S2 DVD's till last week thinking it couldn't be as good as the first season and I had to catch up on my Buffy/Angel sets. I was wrong. How people can wait a week for the next episode on TV is beyond me. I have to force myself to turn off the DVD player after the second or third episode of the night. Must sleep...must sleep...

I got hooked rather easily myself. I rented the first disk from Netflix and immediately after watching that put the rest of season 1 and all of season 2 at the top of my Netflix queue.

This is probably my top TV set as far as rewatchability. I just started it again for about the 4th time and even still it plays like a great 20+ hour movie. Sure, there are some low points, but there's something about rewatching it knowing that
Spoiler:
Nina is the mole and is going to kill Terri
that makes it all the more excruciating to rewatch.

When does Season 3 come out on DVD?
